Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “This is the best monitor I own by far. I owned many third-party monitors never had a high end brand. I should have got this monitor a long time ago, this change my whole gaming experience, the resolution, speed, color and HDR you will not be disappointed. The brightness is smarter is perfect the sound quality is as well. Adjustment capability is as good.”
Customer Review: “The Samsung Odyssey g7 37″ is a real quality machine. When I first saw the 37″ size I was curious and with there being so little reviews so I took the leap and bought it. I upgraded from a Samsung Odyssey g5 to this one and the upgrade was drastic; the picture quality is top tier, the color accuracy is shockingly good, and the contrast is very good for a non OLED display. The refresh rate is good for me mostly because I game with a console. I do miss the UltraWide 21:9 sometimes but being able to watch most videos without black bars is always a plus and it’s a huge monitor so it is not lacking in screen real estate. Overall, It’s a very good monitor but the price is definitely what sets it back, I bought mine used- like new- so I saved some money but do not buy it for full price as there are much better OLED alternatives for the around the same price new.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I’ve been using this 34-inch curved ultrawide monitor for nearly two years for work. For the price, it offers solid value and is easy to recommend. Setup is straightforward, and the instructions are clear. The ultrawide curved display is great for productivity and multitasking, and the monitor feels solid, though it is a bit heavy. However, in terms of sharpness, I didn’t find it on par with some other monitors I’ve used in the past or even my laptop display. Additionally, the stand is not height-adjustable, which would have been a nice improvement. Despite these limitations, it’s still a good ultrawide monitor for the price and works well for everyday work use.”
Customer Review: “What an amazing monitor for the price… I bought the monitor for about 200$. For the price, it’s amazing. The screen quality is absolutely stunning. I purchased this in advance to pair with a steam machine, but have it hooked up to my Xbox series X in the meantime. The colors are extremely vivid, poppin!! Amazing contrast, sharpness, it’s all there. NO screen tears, no stutters. The image this monitor produces is absolutely gorgeous. NO dead pixels too!!! In my opinion this is an amazing monitor. If you are a gamer, this is for you. Be mindful the screen is VERY wide. I have been faithful to sceptre for about 10 years now, and will continue to purchase sceptre after this. Amazing buy. I love it. 10/10 NOTE : if anything bad happens, I will update below 👇🏻”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I had been looking for a new monitor for awhile and had been researching for a new one. I decided I wanted a high quality display, but burn in was a fear I was having for alot of the new OLED monitors since I do a good amount of office work/internet browsing in addition to some gaming. Thats why when I saw this monitor go on sale I jumped onboard. I have been nothing but happy with this purchase as I get the wide screen experience, but still get the height I need for my office work. Much cheaper than the LG and Dell options, yes I know it is a VA panel, but as the monitor sits directly in front of me at my desk I have NO issues with viewing angles or anything like that. A great monitor overall and if you can get it on sale it is a NO BRAINER to purchase. Picture quality is great, screen is bright enough for my office and everything is functioning as I would expect. My 4080 video card truely allows this monitor to shine. Highly recommend for those of you who dont want to risk the burn in of OLED or avoid the high prices of the OLED screens. Obviously those other monitors may have better blacks and brightness, but for the price you won’t be disappointed. I will admit, that like most Samsung monitors/TVs, you do need to do some adjustments to get a more accurate color, but that little bit of work is well worth it.”
Customer Review: “I am very happy with the purchase and it’s worth the money when it’s well under a thousand. I wanted something bigger and higher res for playing games on plus general internet and streaming. This does that great. The color isn’t as accurate as on my previous LG IPS monitor, but sitting side by side I can get it fairly close. Plenty good for gaming and movies. I use the included display port cable and have not seen any flickering on an AMD gpu and Linux. You will need a beefy video card to push this many pixels in games. Picture is not great out of the box. I use Custom: Brightness 40, Contrast 32, Sharpness 15, Color 30, Tint R2, Local Dim high, Contrast Enhance off, Color Tone warm 1, White Balance (-1 r, -2 b), Gamma 2, Shadow Detail 0, Color Space native for Picture looks great. FreeSync on, Black Equalizer 0 on the Game tab. I could maybe get it slightly closer by further tweaking the white balance, but it is close enough to the accurate 34UC88 beside it for me to not bother. I’m happy with it. The cons: I do think the 1000r curvature radius is too steep. I would much rather see it with the 1900r radius of the LG beside it, but that’s not how they made it. The viewing angle could also be better, but I think that is partly a result of the curve as well. There is some noticeable backlight bleed on a completely black screen when you look for it, but I can’t say I even notice it in a dark game like BG3. Considering it can usually be found under 1000, I think it’s worth it. The further under the better. For over it, I think I would try to find something with oled or a flatter curve.”

Complete Buying Guide for Best Resolution For Curved Monitors
Essential Factors We Consider
When selecting the best resolution for your curved monitor, several factors come into play. We prioritize models that offer a resolution that complements the screen size and curvature, ensuring sharpness without demanding an excessively powerful GPU. High refresh rates are also crucial for smooth motion, especially for gaming, and responsive pixel response times are key to avoiding blur. We also look at color accuracy, brightness, and HDR support to ensure a visually rich experience, whether you’re gaming, editing photos, or watching movies.
Budget Planning
Curved monitors come in a wide range of prices, and resolution is a significant factor. While higher resolutions like 4K offer incredible detail, they also come with a higher price tag and require more powerful hardware. For many users, QHD (1440p) or even ultrawide WQHD resolutions strike an excellent balance between visual fidelity, performance, and cost. We’ve included options across different price points to help you find the best fit for your budget. Remember to also factor in the cost of a capable graphics card if you plan on gaming at higher resolutions.
Final Thoughts
Ultimately, the “best” resolution for a curved monitor depends on your specific needs and the size of the display. For larger screens (32 inches and above), resolutions like 4K (UHD) or ultrawide WUHD provide the necessary pixel density to maintain sharpness. For 27-inch and 34-inch monitors, QHD or WQHD are often the sweet spot, offering a great balance of detail and performance. Always consider how you’ll primarily use the monitor – for intense gaming, demanding productivity tasks, or general multimedia consumption – as this will guide your decision.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the ideal resolution for a 34-inch curved monitor?
A: For a 34-inch curved ultrawide monitor, WQHD (3440 x 1440) resolution is generally considered ideal. It provides a significant upgrade in detail over standard HD and offers ample screen real estate for productivity and gaming without being as demanding on your graphics card as 4K.
Q: Should I prioritize refresh rate or resolution for gaming on a curved monitor?
A: For most gamers, a balance is key. However, if you play fast-paced competitive games, a higher refresh rate (144Hz or above) and a quick response time are often more crucial for a smooth, responsive experience than the absolute highest resolution. For visually stunning single-player games, higher resolutions become more important. The best resolution for curved monitors often involves finding that sweet spot.
Q: Are curved monitors better with higher resolutions?
A: Yes, curved monitors, especially larger ones, benefit greatly from higher resolutions. The curvature is designed to immerse you, and a higher resolution ensures that the increased screen real estate is filled with sharp, detailed images, enhancing the immersive effect. Lower resolutions on large curved screens can sometimes lead to visible pixels.
Q: What is WUHD resolution?
A: WUHD stands for “Wide Ultra High Definition” and typically refers to a resolution of 5120 x 2160 pixels. This is a very high resolution, often found on larger ultrawide monitors (like 40 inches and above), offering even more pixel density and screen space than standard 4K or WQHD ultrawide resolutions.
Q: Do I need a powerful graphics card for a curved 4K monitor?
A: Yes, absolutely. Driving a 4K resolution, especially on a large and fast curved gaming monitor, requires a powerful graphics card to achieve smooth frame rates, particularly in demanding games. If your GPU isn’t up to par, you might need to lower the resolution or graphical settings to maintain playable performance.
Finding the best resolution for your curved monitor is about aligning the display’s pixel density with its size and your intended use. Whether you’re aiming for the ultimate gaming immersion with 4K or a highly productive ultrawide experience with WQHD, the monitors we’ve reviewed offer fantastic options. Explore these recommendations and consider your own needs to make an informed choice that brings your digital world to life with stunning clarity and depth.
