Customer Reviews

Customer Review: This monitor is a great value for the price. I mainly use it for work (SAP-heavy tasks) and general web browsing with my Mac mini, and it performs well. It comes with both a USB-C and HDMI cable, which is super convenient for switching between my Mac and ThinkPad. The remote aids in the switching between PC and smart monitor use (picture quality is ok but I didnt expect a lot of a monitor since it isn’t a tv) Assembly was easy, and the display quality is nice—though I did tweak the contrast and color settings to my liking. The built-in sound is decent, and while I’m not picky about audio, it’s more than fine for everyday use. My only gripe is with the smart TV feature—when using apps like Peacock, the resolution doesn’t fill the screen, leaving black bars on the sides (included a photo). Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting.Overall, I’m glad I kept it. It’s proven that you don’t have to drop $1,300 on an iMac—pairing a Mac Mini with this monitor cost me under $1,000 and works just as well. If LG tossed in a second USB-C cable and fixed the resolution issue, they’d have a customer for life.

Customer Review: I bought this monitor to get more viewing space and the curved screen. But, it took me sometime to figure out how to get it to work properly because I am using a docking station that only support USB-C upstream at 5Gbps/100W and 2K HDMI, 4K HDMI.This monitor has 5M pixel (3440×1440) that is equivalent to 2.5K. If your docking station only supports 2K HDMI, the image will be blurry. Once, I switch to 4K HDMI port on the docking station, the blurry image is gone. Please make sure the HDMI cable is also 4K, too. The one come with the monitor is good. After that, the image is perfect but it flicks (screen black out 2s, come back, and disappear agin) every few seconds, especially when I use Web browser. This basically make it useless. I google the problem, updated my graphic card driver, and it is still the same. I suspected upstream speed of my docking station is too slow. I search internet and it shows 5Gbps is enough for 2.5K. When I connect with my laptop Thunderbold 4 port (40 Gbps), the flicking is gone. It only happens when I connect with my laptop’s USB-C 3.2/DisplayPort/PD (10 Gbps/100W) combo port. At this point, I am pretty sure it is caused by the docking station 5Gbps upstream speed. Therefore, I bought another docking station that support USB-C upstream 10Gbps/100W with 2x HDMI 4K. All problems are gone when it connects with the new docking station. By the way, the USB-C cable come with the monitor only support 5Gbps/100W so that I have to use my own USB-C cable. To sum up, it needs USB-C 3.2 DisplayPort/PD combo port (10 Gbps/100W) connection including the USB-C cable and a 4K HDMI port and cable. Overall, this is a good monitor.

Customer Review: I know more than most about computers, but even so, it took hours to get this monitor correctly hooked up to my Dell XPS laptop using a WAVLINK docking station. It gave me an image, but first it was a narrow band stretched out between two large black bars top and bottom. Then it was all correct across the screen, but lower resolution. I asked a LOT of questions to AI search engines and sometimes received conflicting suggestions, but eventually got it all worked out. Total time: Nearly 5 hours, which included many reboots. But, in the end, the 5120×1440 43″ screen looks and works BEAUTIFULLY. Just be prepared as you *may* have to do some troubleshooting to get it working right. My Dell laptop is 3 years old. I would expect less hassle with a newer computer …

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I’ve been using this 34-inch curved ultrawide monitor for nearly two years for work. For the price, it offers solid value and is easy to recommend.Setup is straightforward, and the instructions are clear. The ultrawide curved display is great for productivity and multitasking, and the monitor feels solid, though it is a bit heavy. However, in terms of sharpness, I didn’t find it on par with some other monitors I’ve used in the past or even my laptop display. Additionally, the stand is not height-adjustable, which would have been a nice improvement.Despite these limitations, it’s still a good ultrawide monitor for the price and works well for everyday work use.

Customer Review: What an amazing monitor for the price… I bought the monitor for about 200$. For the price, it’s amazing. The screen quality is absolutely stunning. I purchased this in advance to pair with a steam machine, but have it hooked up to my Xbox series X in the meantime. The colors are extremely vivid, poppin!! Amazing contrast, sharpness, it’s all there. NO screen tears, no stutters. The image this monitor produces is absolutely gorgeous. NO dead pixels too!!!In my opinion this is an amazing monitor. Customer Reviews

Customer Review: This monitor is great! I’ve had it for quite a while now and have not experienced any issues with it whatsoever. The colors are perfect and this thing easily competes with my odyssey g55t which cost about double the price for one of these. If you are hesitant on snagging one of these don’t be, it’s a great pc monitor at an absolutely great price.

Customer Review: As a girl who is just getting back into gaming after quite a few years of not owning a PC and not wanting to break the bank when creating a whole new set up, this monitor is nearly perfect.I wanted something aesthetically pleasing and minimalistic, and this monitor fully delivers on that. It’s lightweight, bigger than expected, I love the slight curve to the screen and visually everything is crisp and clean. It’s keeping up with my mini PC and games that I’m playing. I am someone who is really affected by blue light and the anti-blue light feature is amazing. The only things that are cons for me are: that the screen does not tilt or have any movement to it whatsoever. I also am not entirely sure, but based on reviews that I read I thought that this monitor came with built-in speakers, and there are slits on the bottom of the monitor that look like they could be speakers, but I could not get the sound to work so I had to set up external speakers plugged into my pc. You could totally sync Bluetooth headphones to it, but when I’m gaming for a long periods of time, I like to use external sound rather than headphones.Overall, this is a great monitor, especially if you’re a looking to be a cozy gamer. It’s great quality for the price and won’t break the bank.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I had been looking for a new monitor for awhile and had been researching for a new one. I decided I wanted a high quality display, but burn in was a fear I was having for alot of the new OLED monitors since I do a good amount of office work/internet browsing in addition to some gaming. Thats why when I saw this monitor go on sale I jumped onboard. I have been nothing but happy with this purchase as I get the wide screen experience, but still get the height I need for my office work. Much cheaper than the LG and Dell options, yes I know it is a VA panel, but as the monitor sits directly in front of me at my desk I have NO issues with viewing angles or anything like that. A great monitor overall and if you can get it on sale it is a NO BRAINER to purchase. Picture quality is great, screen is bright enough for my office and everything is functioning as I would expect. My 4080 video card truely allows this monitor to shine. Highly recommend for those of you who dont want to risk the burn in of OLED or avoid the high prices of the OLED screens. Obviously those other monitors may have better blacks and brightness, but for the price you won’t be disappointed. I will admit, that like most Samsung monitors/TVs, you do need to do some adjustments to get a more accurate color, but that little bit of work is well worth it.

Customer Review: I am very happy with the purchase and it’s worth the money when it’s well under a thousand. I wanted something bigger and higher res for playing games on plus general internet and streaming. This does that great. The color isn’t as accurate as on my previous LG IPS monitor, but sitting side by side I can get it fairly close. Plenty good for gaming and movies. I use the included display port cable and have not seen any flickering on an AMD gpu and Linux. You will need a beefy video card to push this many pixels in games.Picture is not great out of the box. I use Custom: Brightness 40, Contrast 32, Sharpness 15, Color 30, Tint R2, Local Dim high, Contrast Enhance off, Color Tone warm 1, White Balance (-1 r, -2 b), Gamma 2, Shadow Detail 0, Color Space native for Picture looks great. FreeSync on, Black Equalizer 0 on the Game tab. I could maybe get it slightly closer by further tweaking the white balance, but it is close enough to the accurate 34UC88 beside it for me to not bother. I’m happy with it.The cons: I do think the 1000r curvature radius is too steep. I would much rather see it with the 1900r radius of the LG beside it, but that’s not how they made it. The viewing angle could also be better, but I think that is partly a result of the curve as well. There is some noticeable backlight bleed on a completely black screen when you look for it, but I can’t say I even notice it in a dark game like BG3.Considering it can usually be found under 1000, I think it’s worth it. The further under the better. For over it, I think I would try to find something with oled or a flatter curve.

Complete Buying Guide for Best Large Curved Monitor for Work

Essential Factors We Consider

When selecting the best large curved monitor for work, we look at several key factors. Screen size and resolution are paramount; larger screens with higher resolutions like 3440×1440 (WQHD) or even 5120×1440 (Dual QHD) provide ample workspace. The curve radius (e.g., 1800R, 1000R) affects immersion and comfort, with tighter curves generally being more engaging. Panel type (IPS for color accuracy, VA for contrast) and refresh rate (100Hz or higher for smoothness) are also crucial. Connectivity options, including USB-C with power delivery, are important for a clean setup. Finally, ergonomic adjustments like height and tilt are vital for long work sessions.

Budget Planning

Large curved monitors for work can range significantly in price. Entry-level models might start around $300-$500, offering good size and basic features. Mid-range options, typically between $500-$800, often include better resolutions, higher refresh rates, and more robust connectivity. Premium models, costing $800 and above, provide top-tier resolutions, advanced HDR capabilities, superior build quality, and advanced features like built-in KVM switches or Thunderbolt support. Consider your specific needs and how much you’ll use the monitor to determine the best budget for your investment.

Final Thoughts

Choosing the right large curved monitor for work can dramatically improve your productivity and overall computing experience. By considering screen size, resolution, curve, panel type, refresh rate, and connectivity, you can find a display that perfectly suits your workflow. Whether you opt for the immersive ultrawide format for multitasking or a higher resolution for detailed work, a large curved monitor is a worthwhile investment for any professional.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the ideal screen size for a large curved monitor for work?

A: For work, screens ranging from 34 inches to 49 inches are generally considered large and beneficial. This size range provides enough screen real estate for effective multitasking and immersive viewing without being overwhelmingly large for most desks.

Q: What resolution should I look for in a large curved monitor for work?

A: For ultrawide monitors, 3440×1440 (WQHD) is a common and excellent resolution for work. For even larger or super ultrawide displays (like 49-inch), 5120×1440 (Dual QHD) or even 3840×1080 (though less common for high-end work) are options. Higher resolutions mean sharper text and more detail.

Q: How important is the curve on a monitor for work?

A: The curve, typically measured in millimeters (e.g., 1800R, 1000R), helps bring the edges of the screen closer to your peripheral vision. This reduces eye strain and makes it easier to take in the entire screen at once, especially on larger ultrawide displays. For work, it enhances comfort during long sessions.

Q: Can I use a gaming curved monitor for work?

A: Absolutely! Many gaming monitors boast high refresh rates and fast response times that are also beneficial for work, making tasks feel smoother. However, ensure the color accuracy and resolution are suitable for your specific professional needs, as some gaming monitors prioritize speed over color fidelity.

Q: What does USB-C connectivity offer on a curved monitor for work?

A: USB-C connectivity on a work monitor can be a game-changer. It often allows for a single-cable solution, transmitting video, data, and even power to your laptop. This simplifies your desk setup, reducing cable clutter and making it easier to connect and disconnect your computer.

Investing in a large curved monitor for work can significantly enhance your productivity and comfort. The immersive viewing experience, coupled with ample screen real estate, allows for more efficient multitasking and a more enjoyable work session. Whether you’re a programmer needing to see more code, a designer working with large canvases, or simply someone who juggles many applications, there’s a perfect large curved monitor out there for you. Explore the options above and find the one that best fits your workspace and workflow.
