Customer Reviews

“Great definition, super fast refresh rate, the curvature is perfect, and the size is just right (but still more than enough to blow you away and provide all the immersion one could ask for from a monitor). My only complaint is that the menu isn’t quite as intuitive as others, but this is negligible. Additional keywords (all true, mind you), easy to setup, very lightweight for it’s size, and a great value for the price (on sale, maybe so at regular price too?).”

– Happy Gamer

“The media could not be loaded. This is my very first monitor and it’s surprisingly good. I make music, commentaries and i game a lot, so I was in need of a monitor. It takes up a lot of space on my desk, my desk is about 5ft to 6 ft wide. I did a lot of research before I bought it (4 months before I bought it). I was very hesitant because of the price and not a lot videos on YouTube gone in depth about the monitor other than showing gameplay. I wasn’t expecting it to be so big let alone run this well either. Finding a gaming monitor at the moment is hard just because finding a well made monitor that plays and runs most games is somewhat rare. It took no more then 12 hours for it to come in after i purchased it (I have Amazon prime) and the box itself was actually pretty big. Setting everything up was easy and simple.Using it for gaming:There’s a bit of settings and you can play it at native 4k 60hz on the Xbox one x and there’s a major difference with some games like Cod MW (2019) Halo MCC & Halo 5, and any game that plays at 60fps. It may not be a noticeable difference with games that are locked to 30fps, but there is a major difference when playing games at 60. Some games looked better but ran somewhat worse compared to 1080p or 1440p. With the One X you can play some games in HDR and there’s a major difference with HDR and some games looked better with HDR. I’ve seen HDR on 4k tv’s and looked amazing, but being able to use it on a monitor like this was also really surprising. Again not all games on the One X have HDR, but the games that do have HDR ran somewhat better but frames did drop considerably when things picked up in combat. Cyberpunk 2077 while looked better on the One X, ran a lot worse at native 4k and with HDR on. Some parts of cyberpunk were steady and nice, as soon as combat picked up, the games frames would drop. So again it just depends on your settings and what games you play the monitor on.Using it for my Music & commentaries:For the last few weeks I’ve been making music & commentaries on this monitor and my workload had jumped up considerably. I can finally see everything and mix the way I need too. It’s a lot easier for me to see my mixes, I had to get a new keyboard, mouse, and desk mat just for this monitor. My work flow has improved and the monitor goes well with the lights around my studio. I’m getting a gaming computer soon to see how it truly runs, I have laptop at the moment so it runs well but I’m in need of upgrade for a new computer.Final Thoughts:Buy at your own cost. The settings are customizable and it looks good on my Xbox one X, I plan on getting a gaming computer to see how it truly runs. It’s worth the price and ships really fast (if you have Amazon prime). Picture quality is amazing, the brightness is adjustable and it’s really good for gaming. Worth the price! If you have the money, get it, if you game a lot, get it, if you’re in need of good monitor, get it. You can’t go wrong with it. Even after a month, I haven’t had any problems with it. I’ve been using it everyday since I’ve bought it.”

  • Exceptional 180Hz refresh rate.
  • Excellent color reproduction and HDR10 support.
  • Comes with useful gaming features like FPS counter.
Cons:
  • Stand does not have height adjustment.
  • Some ghosting can occur at certain response time settings.

Customer Reviews

“It’s amazing good size hooked it up to some speakers sound crazy. Perfect for my sim racing rig good refresh rate no adjustment for the stand but worked perfectly for me. Good price.”

– Sim Racer

“Excellent monitor. The colors look great with good contrast thanks to the VA panel, and it feels smooth. However, depending on the response time settings, you might experience some ghosting in certain games. Personally, I don’t use it for gaming because I have an OLED monitor, so it’s not a problem for me.Something important to keep in mind is that in terms of image quality, if you’re coming from, for example, a 24-inch 1080p monitor, you won’t notice a significant difference compared to this 32-inch 1440p monitor because they have the same pixel density (PPI: 91.79). So, if you want a true 1440p experience, I recommend going for a 27-inch monitor. Or, if you want a 32-inch monitor, I suggest going for a 4K one if you can afford it. The only advantage of a 32-inch 1440p monitor is that you can sit further away from the screen compared to a 24-inch 1080p monitor. In the image I uploaded, the LG monitor is the one on the right, in case there’s any confusion.”

Complete Buying Guide for Best Curved Monitors For Xbox Series X

Essential Factors We Consider

When picking out the best curved monitors for your Xbox Series X, we look at a few key things. First, refresh rate is super important – higher is better for smoother gameplay. We also check the resolution; QHD (1440p) is a sweet spot for the Series X, offering a great balance of detail and performance. The curvature itself matters too; a tighter curve like 1000R can feel more immersive than a gentler 1800R. Finally, response time and adaptive sync technologies like FreeSync are crucial for eliminating motion blur and screen tearing, ensuring a crisp, uninterrupted gaming experience. For a deeper dive into what makes a monitor great for the Xbox Series X, check out our guide on the best gaming monitors for Xbox Series X.

Budget Planning

Curved monitors for gaming can range quite a bit in price. You can find solid 1080p or 1440p options with decent refresh rates for under $300, which are great for budget-conscious gamers. Stepping up to higher refresh rates (144Hz and above), higher resolutions (like QHD), or larger screen sizes will push the price towards the $300-$500 range. For premium features, top-tier brands, and cutting-edge specs, expect to spend $500 or more. It’s all about finding that sweet spot between the features you need and what fits your wallet.

Final Thoughts

Choosing the right curved monitor for your Xbox Series X is all about balancing immersion, performance, and your budget. Whether you’re after the ultra-wide embrace of a larger screen or the sharp visuals of QHD, there’s a curved monitor out there for you. Don’t forget to consider how the monitor’s specs align with the Xbox Series X’s capabilities to get the most out of your gaming.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can the Xbox Series X support curved monitors?

A: Absolutely! The Xbox Series X supports all standard monitor resolutions like 1080p and 1440p, and it can output at high refresh rates up to 120Hz. Curved monitors are just a display type; they don’t change the console’s compatibility.

Q: What refresh rate is best for Xbox Series X on a curved monitor?

A: For the Xbox Series X, a 120Hz refresh rate is ideal to take advantage of its capabilities in supported games. However, 60Hz is still perfectly playable, and anything between 60Hz and 120Hz will offer a smoother experience than 60Hz.

Q: How does the curve on a monitor affect gaming?

A: The curve on a monitor is designed to wrap around your field of view, creating a more immersive experience. It can reduce eye strain by minimizing the distance your eyes need to focus and can make games feel more engaging by pulling you into the action.

Q: Do I need a specific cable for my Xbox Series X with a curved monitor?

A: You’ll want to use an HDMI 2.1 cable to get the most out of the Xbox Series X, especially if your monitor supports 120Hz or 4K at high frame rates. Most modern monitors come with an HDMI cable, but ensure it’s an HDMI 2.1 certified one for the best performance.
