Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “Very happy with the color and text display quality of this VA panel and no fear of burn-in as this is not an OLED. But still deeper blacks than IPS Black Panels. Was worried about excessive heat generation like in my old plasma TV, but it’s minimal. Much better power/heat efficiency than Mini LED and OLED panels. Have not tested it for gaming but from what I’ve read, it’s great for casual gaming. Excellent value for $ with the USB-C connection to laptop for a clutter-free desktop. Very happy with this purchase!”
Customer Review: “This is an excellent monitor for my purposes. It was very easy to set up (it took less than 15 minutes), it is nice looking, filled with features, and has a great picture. I am sure I will use it a lot, and can even envision purchasing another.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “This monitor is a great value for the price. I mainly use it for work (SAP-heavy tasks) and general web browsing with my Mac mini, and it performs well. It comes with both a USB-C and HDMI cable, which is super convenient for switching between my Mac and ThinkPad. The remote aids in the switching between PC and smart monitor use (picture quality is ok but I didnt expect a lot of a monitor since it isn’t a tv) Assembly was easy, and the display quality is nice—though I did tweak the contrast and color settings to my liking. The built-in sound is decent, and while I’m not picky about audio, it’s more than fine for everyday use. My only gripe is with the smart TV feature—when using apps like Peacock, the resolution doesn’t fill the screen, leaving black bars on the sides (included a photo). Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting. Overall, I’m glad I kept it. It’s proven that you don’t have to drop $1,300 on an iMac—pairing a Mac Mini with this monitor cost me under $1,000 and works just as well. If LG tossed in a second USB-C cable and fixed the resolution issue, they’d have a customer for life.”
Customer Review: “I bought this monitor to get more viewing space and the curved screen. But, it took me sometime to figure out how to get it to work properly because I am using a docking station that only support USB-C upstream at 5Gbps/100W and 2K HDMI, 4K HDMI. This monitor has 5M pixel (3440×1440) that is equivalent to 2.5K. If your docking station only supports 2K HDMI, the image will be blurry. Once, I switch to 4K HDMI port on the docking station, the blurry image is gone. Please make sure the HDMI cable is also 4K, too. The one come with the monitor is good. After that, the image is perfect but it flicks (screen black out 2s, come back, and disappear agin) every few seconds, especially when I use Web browser. This basically make it useless. I google the problem, updated my graphic card driver, and it is still the same. I suspected upstream speed of my docking station is too slow. I search internet and it shows 5Gbps is enough for 2.5K. When I connect with my laptop Thunderbold 4 port (40 Gbps), the flicking is gone. It only happens when I connect with my laptop’s USB-C 3.2/DisplayPort/PD (10 Gbps/100W) combo port. At this point, I am pretty sure it is caused by the docking station 5Gbps upstream speed. Therefore, I bought another docking station that support USB-C upstream 10Gbps/100W with 2x HDMI 4K. All problems are gone when it connects with the new docking station. By the way, the USB-C cable come with the monitor only support 5Gbps/100W so that I have to use my own USB-C cable. To sum up, it needs USB-C 3.2 DisplayPort/PD combo port (10 Gbps/100W) connection including the USB-C cable and a 4K HDMI port and cable. Overall, this is a good monitor.”

While often marketed as a gaming monitor, the Samsung 40 Odyssey G7 can be a surprisingly good option for your PS4 Pro. Its massive 40-inch screen with a very aggressive 1000R curve pulls you into the game world like few others. The WUHD resolution and 180Hz refresh rate, though overkill for the PS4 Pro’s output, ensure that any visual data is rendered with stunning clarity and smoothness.

- ✓ Aggressive 1000R Curve envelops your field of vision

- ✓ 180Hz Refresh Rate for buttery-smooth motion
Why We Recommend It
This Samsung monitor is a great pick if you’re looking for maximum immersion. The large screen size and deep curve make games feel incredibly lifelike. While the PS4 Pro won’t push the 180Hz, you’ll still benefit from the sharp resolution and vibrant HDR capabilities, making your games pop.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I had been looking for a new monitor for awhile and had been researching for a new one. I decided I wanted a high quality display, but burn in was a fear I was having for alot of the new OLED monitors since I do a good amount of office work/internet browsing in addition to some gaming. Thats why when I saw this monitor go on sale I jumped onboard. I have been nothing but happy with this purchase as I get the wide screen experience, but still get the height I need for my office work. Much cheaper than the LG and Dell options, yes I know it is a VA panel, but as the monitor sits directly in front of me at my desk I have NO issues with viewing angles or anything like that. A great monitor overall and if you can get it on sale it is a NO BRAINER to purchase. Picture quality is great, screen is bright enough for my office and everything is functioning as I would expect. My 4080 video card truely allows this monitor to shine. Highly recommend for those of you who dont want to risk the burn in of OLED or avoid the high prices of the OLED screens. Obviously those other monitors may have better blacks and brightness, but for the price you won’t be disappointed. I will admit, that like most Samsung monitors/TVs, you do need to do some adjustments to get a more accurate color, but that little bit of work is well worth it.”
Customer Review: “I am very happy with the purchase and it’s worth the money when it’s well under a thousand. I wanted something bigger and higher res for playing games on plus general internet and streaming. This does that great. The color isn’t as accurate as on my previous LG IPS monitor, but sitting side by side I can get it fairly close. Plenty good for gaming and movies. I use the included display port cable and have not seen any flickering on an AMD gpu and Linux. You will need a beefy video card to push this many pixels in games. Picture is not great out of the box. I use Custom: Brightness 40, Contrast 32, Sharpness 15, Color 30, Tint R2, Local Dim high, Contrast Enhance off, Color Tone warm 1, White Balance (-1 r, -2 b), Gamma 2, Shadow Detail 0, Color Space native for Picture looks great. FreeSync on, Black Equalizer 0 on the Game tab. I could maybe get it slightly closer by further tweaking the white balance, but it is close enough to the accurate 34UC88 beside it for me to not bother. I’m happy with it. The cons: I do think the 1000r curvature radius is too steep. I would much rather see it with the 1900r radius of the LG beside it, but that’s not how they made it. The viewing angle could also be better, but I think that is partly a result of the curve as well. There is some noticeable backlight bleed on a completely black screen when you look for it, but I can’t say I even notice it in a dark game like BG3. Considering it can usually be found under 1000, I think it’s worth it. The further under the better. For over it, I think I would try to find something with oled or a flatter curve.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I’ve been using this 34-inch curved ultrawide monitor for nearly two years for work. For the price, it offers solid value and is easy to recommend. Setup is straightforward, and the instructions are clear. The ultrawide curved display is great for productivity and multitasking, and the monitor feels solid, though it is a bit heavy. However, in terms of sharpness, I didn’t find it on par with some other monitors I’ve used in the past or even my laptop display. Additionally, the stand is not height-adjustable, which would have been a nice improvement. Despite these limitations, it’s still a good ultrawide monitor for the price and works well for everyday work use.”
Customer Review: “What an amazing monitor for the price… I bought the monitor for about 200$. For the price, it’s amazing. The screen quality is absolutely stunning. I purchased this in advance to pair with a steam machine, but have it hooked up to my Xbox series X in the meantime. The colors are extremely vivid, poppin!! Amazing contrast, sharpness, it’s all there. NO screen tears, no stutters. The image this monitor produces is absolutely gorgeous. NO dead pixels too!!! In my opinion this is an amazing monitor. If you are a gamer, this is for you. Be mindful the screen is VERY wide. I have been faithful to sceptre for about 10 years now, and will continue to purchase sceptre after this. Amazing buy. I love it. 10/10 NOTE : if anything bad happens, I will update below 👇🏻”
Complete Buying Guide for Best Curved Monitor For PS4 Pro
Essential Factors We Consider
When choosing the best curved monitor for your PS4 Pro, we look at several key aspects. First and foremost is the visual experience – does the curve enhance immersion? We also consider resolution, as the PS4 Pro shines with 4K content, though ultrawide formats are also a great choice. Refresh rate and response time are crucial for smooth gameplay, ensuring that fast-moving action looks crisp and free of motion blur. Connectivity options, like HDMI ports, are essential to ensure compatibility. Finally, we evaluate the overall build quality and the monitor’s ability to deliver vibrant colors and good contrast to make your games truly pop.
Budget Planning
Curved monitors can range significantly in price. While high-end models offer premium features like very high refresh rates and advanced color accuracy, you can find excellent options for your PS4 Pro without spending a fortune. The Sceptre C345B-QUT168, for instance, proves that you can get a great ultrawide curved experience on a budget. Consider what features are most important to you – is it the size, the curve, or the refresh rate? This will help you allocate your budget effectively. Don’t forget to factor in potential costs for accessories like a monitor arm or stand if needed, such as a monitor stand for curved ultrawide monitors.
Final Thoughts
Selecting the right curved monitor for your PS4 Pro is all about finding that sweet spot between immersion, visual fidelity, and performance. Whether you opt for the expansive ultrawide view of the Dell S3425DW, the smart features of the LG, the sheer scale of the Samsung, or the budget-friendly Sceptre, you’re on your way to a more engaging gaming experience. Remember that while the PS4 Pro outputs at a maximum of 4K 60Hz, a monitor with a higher refresh rate will still provide a smoother visual experience for any other uses or future console upgrades.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does the PS4 Pro support ultrawide monitors?
A: Yes, the PS4 Pro supports ultrawide (21:9) aspect ratios. While it primarily outputs at 16:9, many games will stretch or letterbox to fit an ultrawide display, offering a more immersive experience. Some games might require minor in-console settings adjustments.
Q: What is the ideal resolution for a PS4 Pro on a curved monitor?
A: The PS4 Pro is designed for 4K resolution (3840 x 2160). However, with ultrawide monitors, you’ll often find resolutions like QHD (3440 x 1440) or WUHD (5120 x 2160). For a 34-inch ultrawide, 3440 x 1440 is a great sweet spot, offering crisp visuals and a wider field of view than standard 16:9 1440p.
Q: Do I need a specific type of cable for a curved monitor with my PS4 Pro?
A: A high-quality HDMI cable is essential. The PS4 Pro supports HDMI 2.0, so ensure your cable is rated for this standard to achieve the best possible picture quality and refresh rates.
Q: Are curved monitors good for gaming with a PS4 Pro?
A: Absolutely! The curve on a monitor can enhance immersion by filling more of your peripheral vision, making you feel more “in” the game. This is especially true for ultrawide monitors, which provide a wider field of view than traditional 16:9 displays.
Q: What’s the difference between 120Hz and 180Hz refresh rates for PS4 Pro gaming?
A: The PS4 Pro typically outputs games at a maximum of 60Hz. While a 120Hz or 180Hz monitor won’t magically make your PS4 Pro run games at those frame rates, it can still contribute to a smoother visual experience, especially for fast-paced games, by reducing motion blur. It also future-proofs your setup for newer consoles or PC gaming.
Upgrading your gaming setup with a curved monitor can truly transform your PS4 Pro experience. The immersive aspect ratios and enhanced visuals offered by these displays make every game feel more engaging.
