Customer Reviews

Customer Review: Great monitor. Adds 77% more pixels cause it’s 1440p and maintains 180hz refresh rate which is good for casual gaming. A good addition to any set up. I buy AOC for all my monitor set ups.

Customer Review: THIS MONITOR IS A GREAT DEAL, HOWEVER, THEY SEND A HDMI CORD THAT DOES NOT ALLOW FOR 144hz to be used with it. You will only be able to use 60hz. For me anything above 60hz showed green dots. The higher the hz the more green dots all over the screen at random. At 60hz, no green dots. That said you have to get an 8k HDMI 2.1. !!! I went to target, they only had 4k HDMI High fidelity, not strong enough! You’ve been advised.

Customer Review: Good value, overall pretty good monitor. Only complaint is that it doesn’t have a sleep mode. There is sleep mode in the menu, but it turns off the monitor completely when Windows screensaver comes on. Every other monitor I’ve used will wake up automatically, this one you have to press the power button every time. Other than that annoyance, I am happy with the monitor.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I ordered a monitor from Sceptre and received the wrong model. This led me to make a somewhat angry purchase but man did it pay off. Jumping the gun on a 1440p IPS display was so worth it. I am pleased, satisfied, and left wanting nothing more. Pros and cons below. PROS:- Really bright display. This is such a game changer when you constantly deal with dim gaming displays. Typically on a budget monitor you get 250cd/m2 but here you get 400cd/m2!!! The brightness is perfect for gaming, day to day use, brightly lit rooms, etc.- Super Colorful Display: The colors on this screen pop like I’ve never seen. Everything is perfectly saturated. Nothing seems out of the ordinary. Everything you watch, read, play, will be enjoyed thoroughly guaranteed.- Whites are actually WHITE: As you can see in one of the images I attached, My other monitor (HP 25x) provides yellowish whites while the 27E3Q provides a very natural and expected white.- Not a single dead pixel on my unit!- No annoying branding. One simple and almost invisible “KOORUI” in the center of the frame on the bottom. No extended pieces of plastic either. Just a rectangular unit as you would expect. Unlike the HP 25x which has an annoying chunk of plastic that extends out. This is more nitpicky obviously but it still counts!- OSD (On Screen Display) is very easy to use. Its quick, to the point, no frills or gimmicks, and easy to read.- Really nice stand! Although I used my own dual monitor mount, the stand is high quality, heavy duty, with tons of adjustability. (Rotate, side to side, height)CONS:- From the research I’ve done, if you leave the overdrive off you won’t have a problem but, with it turned on you do experience some ghosting I believe. Haven’t tested it myself but this is what I’ve heard. Not worried about it, I leave it off and thoroughly enjoy gaming.- In all honesty, the only possible thing I can think of (and this is a real nitpick imo) is the edges of the display border. They could be a HAIR thinner. My HP 25x has a slightly thinner border (not the bezel/plastic frame). This monitor would have benefited greatly from a thinner border but I wouldn’t worry about it. With all of the benefits (AFFORDABILITY) a border shouldn’t even be close to a deal breaker.Overall, amazing monitor. I will be purchasing another one soon!

Customer Review: Today I set up my dual KOORUI 27″ model N07 monitors. I was somewhat worried by multiple reviewers reporting that this model isn’t really a 4K screen. So while I don’t usually write reviews, I’m here to assure you the N07 is in fact a 4K screen with resolution of 3840×2160 and refresh rate of 60hz.And I know why some people got this wrong. When I unplugged my old 1920×1080 monitors and tried to use the same HDMI cables, Windows identified the monitor as having a 1920×1080 native resolution. But my cables were very old. I plugged both my new monitors in using DisplayPort cables and they were instantly reporting 3840×2160. My monitors did not come with DP cables, just new HDMI cables. But my office had extra DP cables laying around. If you’re still having trouble getting 4K on one of these, be wary of adapters, such as DP-to-HDMI, DVI-to-HDMI, etc. Also try shorter or newer cables. You CAN get 4K out of HDMI cables, but remember that HDMI has been around since 2002 and that standard has gone through many versions with new capabilities over the years. As for reviewing the other aspect of these monitors… they look great to me! Neither of mine had dead or stuck pixels. the colors look good and image is sharp. I’m not a professional monitor reviewer, but these seem like perfectly good office monitors for a fantastic price compared to big brand names. I took a chance on some of their smaller screens several months back and was blown away at the quality and low price. I’m glad this higher end model hasn’t let me down!UPDATE: My original review was written 10/13/2023 and now it’s 5/16/2025. I have never had a single issue with these monitors in the 1 year 7 months I’ve been using them. In fact I stumbled across my own review after looking to purchase a 3rd matching one… because a triple-monitor setup with these bad boys would be awesome! By the way, I use them on a dual-monitor desk mount. I love that they have VESA mounting holes so they can be used on wall or desk arms/mounts.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: This is a great monitor. I bought two of these for my son set up in his bedroom for his gaming computer. The quality is amazing, the refresh rate is so fast, and it is such an attractive set of monitors. His grandmother is actually gonna get him one more so that he can have a spaceship kind of experience when playing games. Highly recommend! And the price is awesome. Especially with a 280 Hz refresh rate. It is compatible with his IBM computer, no problem hooking them up. Super easy to set up, and I like that they are high adjustable. I don’t know about the sound quality because he uses external speakers.

Customer Review: It’s been a couple of months since I bought this monitor, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Great colors and solid image quality. Works perfectly for gaming and watching movies. Would definitely buy again—no issues so far.

Complete Buying Guide for Best Curved Monitor For Mac

Essential Factors We Consider

When selecting the best curved monitor for your Mac, we focus on several key aspects that directly impact your user experience. First and foremost is compatibility with macOS; we ensure that color calibration and display scaling work seamlessly with Apple’s operating system. Resolution is another critical factor – for a truly sharp image, we look for at least QHD (2560×1440) or higher, especially on larger displays. Refresh rate and response time are vital for smooth visuals, particularly for gaming or fast-paced work, with 120Hz and above being ideal. We also scrutinize color accuracy and coverage (like sRGB or DCI-P3), as this is crucial for creative professionals. Finally, the degree of the curve (e.g., 1500R, 1800R) matters for immersion and comfort, with 1800R being more subtle and 1500R offering a more pronounced wrap-around effect.

Budget Planning

Curved monitors for Macs can range significantly in price, from budget-friendly options for basic productivity to high-end displays for professional creative work. For a solid, mid-range curved monitor that offers a good balance of features like 1440p resolution, a decent refresh rate, and good color reproduction, expect to spend anywhere from $300 to $500. If you’re looking for top-tier performance with higher refresh rates (240Hz+), 4K resolution, or specialized color accuracy for video editing or graphic design, prices can easily climb to $600 and upwards. It’s worth considering that sometimes a higher refresh rate or resolution might not be fully utilized by macOS for certain tasks, so it’s important to match the monitor’s specs to your primary usage. For users who need a monitor for basic tasks, a good FHD curved monitor can often be found for under $250, providing a comfortable viewing experience without a high cost. Investing in a good monitor stand, like a monitor stand for curved display, can also enhance ergonomics and aesthetics.

Final Thoughts

Choosing the best curved monitor for your Mac ultimately depends on your specific needs and budget. Whether you prioritize gaming performance with high refresh rates, color accuracy for creative work, or simply a more comfortable viewing experience for everyday tasks, there’s a curved monitor out there that fits the bill. We’ve highlighted some of the top contenders that offer excellent compatibility and performance with macOS. Remember to consider the size and resolution that best suits your workspace and workflow. For those looking to further optimize their setup, exploring options like a monitor shelf for curved ultrawide monitor can add valuable desk space and organizational benefits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are curved monitors good for MacBooks?

A: Yes, curved monitors can be excellent for MacBooks. They offer a more immersive viewing experience and can be more comfortable for extended use, reducing eye strain. Compatibility is generally very good, with most modern curved monitors working seamlessly with macOS for display output, color, and resolution settings.

Q: What resolution should I look for in a curved monitor for Mac?

A: For a 27-inch or larger curved monitor, we recommend at least QHD (2560×1440) for a sharp image. If you’re going for a 32-inch or larger display, 4K (3840×2160) is ideal for maximum clarity and detail, especially for professional creative work. For smaller screens like 24-inch, FHD (1920×1080) can still be acceptable, but QHD offers a noticeable improvement in sharpness.

Q: Do curved monitors offer any advantages over flat monitors for Mac users?

A: Curved monitors provide a more immersive viewing experience by wrapping the screen around your field of vision, which can reduce peripheral distractions and enhance focus. For larger screens, the curve can also help minimize distortion at the edges, making the entire screen appear more uniformly viewed. This can be especially beneficial for tasks requiring sustained attention, like coding or graphic design.

Q: How do refresh rates and response times affect my experience with a curved monitor on a Mac?

A: Higher refresh rates (e.g., 120Hz, 144Hz, 240Hz) and lower response times (e.g., 1ms, 4ms) mean smoother motion. This is particularly noticeable in fast-paced activities like gaming or scrolling through long documents. While macOS handles display output well, these specs ensure that the visual experience is fluid and responsive, preventing motion blur and stuttering.

Q: Are there specific features I should look for when connecting a curved monitor to a MacBook Pro with USB-C?

A: When connecting to a MacBook Pro via USB-C, look for monitors that support USB-C connectivity directly, ideally with Power Delivery (PD) up to 90W or more. This allows you to charge your MacBook with a single cable while also outputting video. Ensure the monitor supports the appropriate DisplayPort Alternate Mode over USB-C. A 4K monitor with USB-C 90W for Mac would be a prime example of such integration.

Finding the perfect curved monitor for your Mac setup is all about balancing performance, aesthetics, and your specific needs. Whether you’re a gamer seeking high refresh rates, a creative professional demanding color accuracy, or simply looking for a more comfortable and immersive workday, the options we’ve explored offer fantastic choices. We encourage you to consider your primary use case and budget to make the best decision. Don’t forget to check out accessories like a wooden monitor stand for Mac setup to complement your new curved display and create a truly cohesive and productive workspace. Happy viewing!
