Customer Review: “I’m not going to ding the monitor for this, because it’s a new computer, and I’m not sure if it’s the computer or monitor… When I selected HDR, the picture got very light and washed out looking. Used the Windows HDR calibration app, and it didn’t help. On the other hand, the colors in SDR mode were vibrant and clear. Looking at a few photos, (I have over a TB of pix and haven’t yet transferred them) I’m seeing some details that I don’t see on my current monitor, and that one was never a slouch. The picture has good uniformity and I haven’t seen any back-light bleed, but that was in a brightly lit room. It may be different when actually placed in my home office. No stuck or dead pixels, either. Beyond that, it’s all minutia… the stand is cheap but adequate if all you need is to hold it in place. In this price range, you won’t find better. It did come with some screws and standoffs, presumably for an external VESA stand. Nothing in the instructions on how to mount it, though. The instructions were kind of worthless, in fact. The control syntax works, if a bit uninspired. It came with a cable; Display Port, not HDMI. 😒 A monitor in this price range is probably going to be used with a bottom feeder computer, and mine doesn’t have Display Port. One weird but inconsequential quirk that I can’t tell if from the monitor or the computer; I set the screen saver to 13 minutes and didn’t think to set the monitor time out (the default setting is 10 minutes) and it went into some kind of diagnostic screen. It never did enter the screen saver or go to sleep. After resetting the screen saver to less than 10 minutes, it worked normally. This one is being paired with my first new computer since Windows XP. I’ve upgraded over the years, but never a new-from-the-ground-up build. The specific hardware requirements in Windows 11 meant that my current system is at a dead end. While I’m uncomfortable letting the grandkids play their online games and videos on the same system with all of my personal data, doing it on a system that doesn’t have a supported OS is not at all acceptable. So my current system will be wiped of sensitive data once I finish backing up the pictures et al. The issues that I’ve been experiencing are probably from the computer, not the monitor, but I felt it worth reporting just in case. A good monitor at a great price. Even if you feel the need for a better stand, it’s still a reasonable investment for a quality picture.”

Customer Review: “This monitor is a great value for the price. I mainly use it for work (SAP-heavy tasks) and general web browsing with my Mac mini, and it performs well. It comes with both a USB-C and HDMI cable, which is super convenient for switching between my Mac and ThinkPad. The remote aids in the switching between PC and smart monitor use (picture quality is ok but I didnt expect a lot of a monitor since it isn’t a tv) Assembly was easy, and the display quality is nice—though I did tweak the contrast and color settings to my liking. The built-in sound is decent, and while I’m not picky about audio, it’s more than fine for everyday use. My only gripe is with the smart TV feature—when using apps like Peacock, the resolution doesn’t fill the screen, leaving black bars on the sides (included a photo). It’s proven that you don’t have to drop $1,300 on an iMac—pairing a Mac Mini with this monitor cost me under $1,000 and works just as well. Customer Review: “I bought this monitor to get more viewing space and the curved screen. But, it took me sometime to figure out how to get it to work properly because I am using a docking station that only support USB-C upstream at 5Gbps/100W and 2K HDMI, 4K HDMI. This monitor has 5M pixel (3440×1440) that is equivalent to 2.5K. If your docking station only supports 2K HDMI, the image will be blurry. Once, I switch to 4K HDMI port on the docking station, the blurry image is gone. Please make sure the HDMI cable is also 4K, too. The one come with the monitor is good. After that, the image is perfect but it flicks (screen black out 2s, come back, and disappear agin) every few seconds, especially when I use Web browser. This basically make it useless. I google the problem, updated my graphic card driver, and it is still the same. I suspected upstream speed of my docking station is too slow. I search internet and it shows 5Gbps is enough for 2.5K. When I connect with my laptop Thunderbold 4 port (40 Gbps), the flicking is gone. It only happens when I connect with my laptop’s USB-C 3.2/DisplayPort/PD (10 Gbps/100W) combo port. At this point, I am pretty sure it is caused by the docking station 5Gbps upstream speed. Therefore, I bought another docking station that support USB-C upstream 10Gbps/100W with 2x HDMI 4K. All problems are gone when it connects with the new docking station. By the way, the USB-C cable come with the monitor only support 5Gbps/100W so that I have to use my own USB-C cable. To sum up, it needs USB-C 3.2 DisplayPort/PD combo port (10 Gbps/100W) connection including the USB-C cable and a 4K HDMI port and cable. Overall, this is a good monitor.”

Customer Review: “I know more than most about computers, but even so, it took hours to get this monitor correctly hooked up to my Dell XPS laptop using a WAVLINK docking station. It gave me an image, but first it was a narrow band stretched out between two large black bars top and bottom. Then it was all correct across the screen, but lower resolution. I asked a LOT of questions to AI search engines and sometimes received conflicting suggestions, but eventually got it all worked out. Total time: Nearly 5 hours, which included many reboots. But, in the end, the 5120×1440 43″ screen looks and works BEAUTIFULLY. Just be prepared as you *may* have to do some troubleshooting to get it working right. My Dell laptop is 3 years old. I would expect less hassle with a newer computer …”
