Customer Review: OLED is king! I had an iMac for a couple days and enjoyed it but the screen hurt my eyes! I couldn’t take the eye strain going to bed. The screen just didn’t look natural to me. The blacks were this bright gray. I knew I needed OLED because I have an OLED TV and that never hurts my eyes. Got this monitor and I don’t have eye strain anymore. OLED mimics reality. Where there is no light, there is no light. It’s just comfortable. Great display. The colors are nice. It’s just like one of those things where I don’t even notice it. There just isn’t anything wrong with it. It just does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Apart from moments of gratitude and “this is awesome” it’s just a silent companion. It does what it’s supposed to do I hardly notice it’s there, like a car engine running in the background. A good machine! Works well with my Mac Mini. Thought 32 would be too big, only got it because there are no 27 inch glossy OLEDs. But it ended up being the perfect size. Glossy is perfect for me I can’t stand any compromise to clarity, anti glare is not my thing. Fantastic monitor. Expensive but it is what it is. I wish I could have gotten it for 500 but that’s just not the state of the world. Infinitely better than my iMac monitor and all in all, this monitor, M4 Mac Mini, Edifier M60, Keychron keyboard… For roughly the same price as a 10 core iMac, I am in a completely different universe of comfort, ease, and performance. Put the extra work in. Get what you really need. No compromises. No living with pain.

Customer Review: Went from an LG Ultragear 32″ 1440p IPS to this. OH MY GOD! It’s crazy the difference the higher resolution and pixel response make. Blacks are black! Colors are amazing even compared to the IPS. I see people say the other type of OLED is better for colors, its just hard to imagine that at all. Super clean image, text is perfect, hdr is amazing and it feels super well built. If you are on the fence and wondering if OLED is really a game changer, it absolutely is! So much so, after seeing it, my wife wanted a OLED TV from LG, the B5. It’s an amazing TV, as has been my experience with all LG displays i’ve owned. I’m hard pressed to ever go with another company for my TV’s and displays at this point, just amazing quality and value. Absolutely no regrets, and it feels super sturdy. The dual mode is a cool feature, can go to 1080p at 24, 27 or full 32″ with higher refresh for the games your gpu can’t quite hit high frames and you wanna be competitive. Running on a 4070ti and 4k using dlss so far has been pretty smooth, minus a few games with huge vram requirements.

Customer Review: This review is for the ASUS PG32UCDM, which is a QD-OLED monitor sporting a 240hz refresh rate and 4K resolution to clarify when Amazon lists all the reviews together in the way they do.Gaming performance: At 240hz, provided your graphics card can push pixels that quickly, this monitor is at the top of the game when considering the speed of competitive 4K monitors. There does not currently (2/24/25) exist a 4K panel that can do more than 4K 240hz, if you require more for competitive gaming then you should look elsewhere to a 1440p monitor or the like. I played Halo Infinite at 240hz and the experience was divine. Coming from a 144hz 4K 27″ IPS panel, there is no comparison: the picture was unimaginably clear, vivid, crisp, and with dark blacks. Age of Empires IV with HDR mode enabled looks like a different game entirely. I will have to replay every older game I own with this monitor. The colors quite literally give life to old games and show you things in titles you’ve already played that you may have missed on your older monitor.Other media consumption:I do not own a TV, thus I consume all of my media through my computer and a monitor that could natively display all current types of media formats (HDR, Dolby Vision, etc) was important to me and this monitor excels in media consumption much like an OLED TV does. This monitor supports Dolby Vision which is quite uncommon among computer monitors, competitor’s products that I’ve checked during my research prior to buying (Gigabyte F032U2P as well as the MSI equivalent) fall short in this area, not supporting DV. Switching HDR modes is easily accessible in the monitor settings. HDR support is excellent just the same as DV and is the default mode. Just like with games, true blacks show with OLED panels such as this one because the pixel completely turns off, unlike other panels where local dimming and other technologies try to reproduce black shades but they often come out gray as some light from the backlight shines through. Not the case with this monitor. The dark, eerie, emptiness of space in 1979’s Alien really comes through and the vivid colors of Avatar shine bright as if you were really on Pandora. I cannot express enough how important a good monitor is when putting together a gaming or media setup. It is the primary way you interact with your computer.Things to know:OLED is susceptible to burn in, and as in the old days with CRTs (which were also prone to burn in), care must be taken to mitigate the effects. It’s the return of the screen saver. The monitor comes with a standard 8 hour pixel refresh cycle which prompts you with the on screen display to run a pixel refresh. It takes about 5 minutes to complete, and you can postpone it if you so wish. It is also recommended to use a dark windows theme, no background, auto-hide taskbar, among other mitigation measures.Text fringing: I thought this would be a problem for me, since I am both easily nauseated by blurry text and use my computer for a lot of text-based work as well (coding and writing these reviews…). Truthfully it is only noticeable if you get very, very close to the screen, much closer than is usable. There are also mitigation measures you can take for this such as using different fontpacks and so on.Overall, this monitor is excellent and I forsee using it for 5+ years. I will edit this review if burn in appears in any significant or severe way or earlier than expected.

The level of clarity and vividness it offers is truly a game-changer.In my attached video review, I discuss how matte screens diffuse light across the surface, which I believe causes more eye fatigue compared to the crisp clarity of a glossy screen. While matte screens create a hazy effect, glossy screens may reflect light sources, but the reflections are only noticeable when directly aligned with the light. Most of the time, the reflections fade into the background when you’re focused on the screen.The glossy finish provides such exceptional clarity that it easily outweighs any minor inconvenience from reflections. Of course, this is just my personal experience—I’m not an eye doctor or expert—but I think the benefits are undeniable.This monitor is an excellent choice, though it’s worth noting that exciting new technologies are on the horizon. Unlike regular V-Sync, which can cause input lag and stuttering when frame rates drop below the monitor’s refresh rate, FreeSync Premium Pro is an advanced type of adaptive sync that dynamically adjusts the monitor’s refresh rate to match the GPU’s frame rate in real time, with added support for HDR content. In other words, just let your GPU run without a cap, and the monitor handles the smooth playback automatically.Lastly, in my video review, I mentioned that the little ROG logo on the lower bezel couldn’t be turned off. Playing games at 1440p on this QD 4K panel offers a comparable experience to gaming on a non-QD 4K display, freeing up significant GPU power.This extra performance headroom allows me to crank up in-game settings and focus on enhancing the overall visual quality without needing to push for a higher resolution. With my 7900 GRE, I am now able to game at 1440p with 60 FPS on the most graphically demanding titles with Ray Tracing various settings Enabled!Additionally, playing at 1440p instead of 4k also lets me use higher texture settings, as the reduced resolution demand saves processing power. Customer Review: Obviously this is a beast, 32-inch, 4k @ 240hz with an option for 1080p @ 480hz, all at 0.03ms response time is elite for any type of gaming.But the thing thats different about this one in comparison to other similarly-spec’d monitors is that it is a WOLED panel with a matte finish.I urge you to look up the differences between WOLED and QD-OLED panels and matte vs glossy finish before buying,but in my opinion I absolutely LOVE this combination, this WOLED has none of the purplish tone that many QD ones have and in my opinion it still gets plenty bright and the color accuracy is great, also text seems to render clearer on WOLED which is a big plus for people who also look for that “everything monitor” (games, media and productivity), also the matte finish helps it look much more consistent and easier on the eyes across different lighting – albeit with a bit of a “grainy” look which is a bit visible in white spots (for me it is has not been a problem, and it is completely undetectable during gaming).Ill also note that for me a big selling point of this edition over its predecessor is that it can charge a laptop connected through usb-c (and it seems like this option still supports full 4k 240hz on my Macbook m4 pro, which is insane).Full price is a bit too high, but it seems to be on sale regularly (mine was 870 instead of 1300), so try to get it on sale.

Customer Review: Overall, this display is absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend that anyone considering it understand the differences between QD-OLED (Samsung panels; most OLED monitors) and W-OLED (LG) panels. It is also worth learning about the differences between matte and glossy coatings and how they affect the image.The build quality is great; the stand goes together very easily and is extremely solid. It also offers a wide range of height and tilt adjustment. The light on the rear of the housing is a nice touch and has a good selection of colors.Since this is a W-OLED display, the blacks remain perfectly dark even in a bright room. Colors are as good as you’d expect. When the unit first powers on, expect to see some mild to moderate unevenness in the brightness of the image. My unit had some vertical banding which disappeared after a few hours of normal use and an image cleaning cycle. Do not worry if you see something similar on yours! It goes away quickly. Also, there is no discernible text fringing at all. Text does appear somewhat soft, but disabling ClearType in Windows completely fixes this.The image is plenty bright, and HDR content looks great. You can adjust the peak brightness in the settings, so if it seems dim then try that. It is definitely not as bright as a QD-OLED panel, but the perfect blacks make up for this. Keep in mind that bright elements that take up large parts of the screen will cause global dimming. This is normal behavior.The only complaint I have is that the matte coating is somewhat grainy. It is barely discernible at normal viewing distances, and with dynamic content it’s even harder to spot; it is most noticeable on static bright pages. Use dark mode whenever you can (which is also good practice for OLED panels generally). For me, the lack of distracting reflections is well worth it.Consider your options carefully when picking an OLED display. There are trade-offs no matter what you choose. If you’re looking for a 4K display with a fantastic refresh rate (and 480hz at 1080p!), and you know that the downsides won’t be an issue for you, then this is one of your best options.

Customer Review: This is the best monitor ive ever seen in person, i can hardly believe the clarity. I use it for gaming and desktop apps and it performs like a pro. Yes the price was seriously high, but you get what you pay for. Screen glare is very low so i do not see any reflections from light sources behind me. Setup was easy and the packaging was very good. I used a monitor arm and not the included stand, that was super easy to setup as well. My only complaint is while the monitor controls are very easy to use, the on screen menu is so small on the base resolution it’s hard to see/read. But that is no reason not to buy this fantastic monitor. Before i bought this i had read that some people had noticed something around text characters like ghosting, i cannot see anything like this, text seems very clear and crisp. In conclusion, if you have a good pc and want to get the most out of it this monitor is a must have.

Customer Review: Just got it set up and holy crap the blacks are actually black…. like perfect, deep, inky blacks that make everything feel way more vivid.I was this close to going with the 240 Hz glossy version (the UCDM), but I ended up with this one because the matte anti-glare finish was a must for my bright room… and honestly, it was the right call. No glare drama, even with sunlight coming in.This thing is a huge upgrade from my old Dell — like night and day. After using this, my old “4K monitor” feels like it wasn’t really even 4K 😂 Everything is sharper, the colors pop, and motion feels so smooth.If you want deep blacks, great gaming performance, and a killer picture for both work and play, this thing delivers.

Customer Review: Absolutely amazing monitor. Beautiful colors. Running HDR on a 4090 and love it. I did not see any gray banding on mine at all. Still did the normal break in running an 8 hour HDR video over night several times and pixel refresh. It didn’t need it but wanted to be safe. The monitor stays cool to touch and is actually really thin! Pleasantly surprised. Compared to my 32″ 1440p, this is a huge upgrade. Pixel density is higher and picture is crisper/cleaner.

Customer Review: Don’t Buy This MonitorThe display looks great. glossy black, beautiful picture. That’s where the good news ends.Within the first week, the screen was randomly going black while gaming. Tracked it down to the Frame Rate Boost setting and disabled it. (firmware MCM103)Three weeks in, display began shutting off. Random colored lines flash across the screen, then black. After a few minutes of unresponsiveness, it decides to run a 6-minute pixel cleaning cycle on its own. When it’s done, the display just never comes back on. One time the whole screen was covered in artifacts.I’ve tried a new cable, updated drivers, messed with every setting I could find. Nothing worked.Tried updating to firmware MCM104. Asus had already pulled every version off their website. Make of that what you will.I’ll be returning it and buying a WOLED directly from LG. Not my first bad experience with Asus quality control, and clearly not their last. Save your money.
