Customer Reviews

Customer Review:

I’ve been using this 34-inch curved ultrawide monitor for nearly two years for work. For the price, it offers solid value and is easy to recommend.Setup is straightforward, and the instructions are clear. The ultrawide curved display is great for productivity and multitasking, and the monitor feels solid, though it is a bit heavy. However, in terms of sharpness, I didn’t find it on par with some other monitors I’ve used in the past or even my laptop display. Additionally, the stand is not height-adjustable, which would have been a nice improvement.Despite these limitations, it’s still a good ultrawide monitor for the price and works well for everyday work use.

Customer Review:

What an amazing monitor for the price… I bought the monitor for about 200$. For the price, it’s amazing. The screen quality is absolutely stunning. I purchased this in advance to pair with a steam machine, but have it hooked up to my Xbox series X in the meantime. The colors are extremely vivid, poppin!! Amazing contrast, sharpness, it’s all there. NO screen tears, no stutters. The image this monitor produces is absolutely gorgeous. NO dead pixels too!!!In my opinion this is an amazing monitor. If you are a gamer, this is for you. Be mindful the screen is VERY wide. I have been faithful to sceptre for about 10 years now, and will continue to purchase sceptre after this.Amazing buy. I love it. 10/10NOTE : if anything bad happens, I will update below 👇🏻

Customer Reviews

Customer Review:

Very happy with the color and text display quality of this VA panel and no fear of burn-in as this is not an OLED. But still deeper blacks than IPS Black Panels. Was worried about excessive heat generation like in my old plasma TV, but it’s minimal. Much better power/heat efficiency than Mini LED and OLED panels.Have not tested it for gaming but from what I’ve read, it’s great for casual gaming.Excellent value for $ with the USB-C connection to laptop for a clutter-free desktop. Very happy with this purchase!

Customer Review:

Customer Reviews

Customer Review:

This monitor is a great value for the price. I mainly use it for work (SAP-heavy tasks) and general web browsing with my Mac mini, and it performs well. It comes with both a USB-C and HDMI cable, which is super convenient for switching between my Mac and ThinkPad. The remote aids in the switching between PC and smart monitor use (picture quality is ok but I didnt expect a lot of a monitor since it isn’t a tv) Assembly was easy, and the display quality is nice—though I did tweak the contrast and color settings to my liking. The built-in sound is decent, and while I’m not picky about audio, it’s more than fine for everyday use. My only gripe is with the smart TV feature—when using apps like Peacock, the resolution doesn’t fill the screen, leaving black bars on the sides (included a photo). Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting.Overall, I’m glad I kept it. It’s proven that you don’t have to drop $1,300 on an iMac—pairing a Mac Mini with this monitor cost me under $1,000 and works just as well. If LG tossed in a second USB-C cable and fixed the resolution issue, they’d have a customer for life.

Customer Review:

I bought this monitor to get more viewing space and the curved screen. But, it took me sometime to figure out how to get it to work properly because I am using a docking station that only support USB-C upstream at 5Gbps/100W and 2K HDMI, 4K HDMI.This monitor has 5M pixel (3440×1440) that is equivalent to 2.5K. If your docking station only supports 2K HDMI, the image will be blurry. Once, I switch to 4K HDMI port on the docking station, the blurry image is gone. Please make sure the HDMI cable is also 4K, too. The one come with the monitor is good. After that, the image is perfect but it flicks (screen black out 2s, come back, and disappear agin) every few seconds, especially when I use Web browser. This basically make it useless. I google the problem, updated my graphic card driver, and it is still the same. I suspected upstream speed of my docking station is too slow. I search internet and it shows 5Gbps is enough for 2.5K. When I connect with my laptop Thunderbold 4 port (40 Gbps), the flicking is gone. It only happens when I connect with my laptop’s USB-C 3.2/DisplayPort/PD (10 Gbps/100W) combo port. At this point, I am pretty sure it is caused by the docking station 5Gbps upstream speed. Therefore, I bought another docking station that support USB-C upstream 10Gbps/100W with 2x HDMI 4K. All problems are gone when it connects with the new docking station. By the way, the USB-C cable come with the monitor only support 5Gbps/100W so that I have to use my own USB-C cable. To sum up, it needs USB-C 3.2 DisplayPort/PD combo port (10 Gbps/100W) connection including the USB-C cable and a 4K HDMI port and cable. Overall, this is a good monitor.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review:

Good monitor at a great price. I’ve used this with both macOS and Windows and it works perfectly in both. Color accuracy is good as is viewing angles. Contrast and black levels are pretty good for most things. The built-in speakers aren’t worth using and sound terrible. I use it with a monitor mount and would recommend that because the included stand is wobbly. Great for text, programming, spreadsheets and watching videos. Light gaming is perfectly fine on it too and it has 100 Hz refresh rate which is nice.

Customer Review:

Great purchase. Clean screen , looks and feels good. Would defiantly recommend using it on a Mac and everything is seamless

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the ideal screen size for a wide curved monitor for office work?

A: For office work, a 34-inch ultrawide curved monitor is often considered ideal. It provides ample screen real estate for multitasking and a comfortable viewing experience without being overwhelmingly large for most desks. You can also consider 27-inch curved monitors if space is limited or if you don’t need the extreme width of an ultrawide.

Q: Is a curved monitor better for office work than a flat monitor?

A: For many users, a curved monitor is better for office work. The curve helps reduce eye strain by bringing the edges of the screen closer to your peripheral vision, creating a more natural and immersive viewing experience. This can lead to increased comfort during long work sessions.

Q: What resolution should I look for in a wide curved monitor for office work?

A: For ultrawide monitors (21:9 aspect ratio), WQHD (3440 x 1440) or even higher resolutions like UWQDHD (5120 x 2160) are recommended. For 27-inch curved monitors, QHD (2560 x 1440) or 4K (3840 x 2160) would be excellent choices for crisp text and detailed visuals.

Q: Should I prioritize refresh rate for office work?

A: While a high refresh rate (like 120Hz or 144Hz) is fantastic for gaming, it also contributes to smoother scrolling and a more fluid user experience in general office tasks. Even a 60Hz or 75Hz monitor can be perfectly adequate, but higher refresh rates offer a noticeable improvement in visual comfort and responsiveness.

Q: What is USB-C connectivity and why is it useful for office monitors?

A: USB-C connectivity allows you to connect your monitor to your laptop using a single cable that can carry video signal, data, and even power your laptop. This significantly reduces desk clutter and simplifies your setup, making it a highly desirable feature for office environments.
