Customer Reviews
Customer Review: Really like this monitor that I got for my kid. I originally thought the curve was going to be a problem but that definitely proved to not be. It’s very responsive and easy to setup. The colors needed a bit of calibration that I got from a review site but after that it looked good. The quality seems really good for the price. Refresh rate is pretty high but my kid doesn’t have an ultra high end machine so it can’t drive it very often to be honest. Over all though it’s a great monitor that is cheap and gets the job done.
Customer Review: This is a great monitor for the price! Nice and big with plenty of screen real estate. Crisp and bright video. I haven’t had any reason to complain. I treated it gently until I got it mounted due to some of the other reviews, but once I got it secured on the arm, I have no worries. Treat her gently and she’s just fine. The only caveat I have for anyone is to be aware, there are no speakers, so an external is necessary.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I had been looking for a new monitor for awhile and had been researching for a new one. I decided I wanted a high quality display, but burn in was a fear I was having for alot of the new OLED monitors since I do a good amount of office work/internet browsing in addition to some gaming. Thats why when I saw this monitor go on sale I jumped onboard. I have been nothing but happy with this purchase as I get the wide screen experience, but still get the height I need for my office work. Much cheaper than the LG and Dell options, yes I know it is a VA panel, but as the monitor sits directly in front of me at my desk I have NO issues with viewing angles or anything like that. A great monitor overall and if you can get it on sale it is a NO BRAINER to purchase. Picture quality is great, screen is bright enough for my office and everything is functioning as I would expect. My 4080 video card truely allows this monitor to shine. Highly recommend for those of you who dont want to risk the burn in of OLED or avoid the high prices of the OLED screens. Obviously those other monitors may have better blacks and brightness, but for the price you won’t be disappointed. I will admit, that like most Samsung monitors/TVs, you do need to do some adjustments to get a more accurate color, but that little bit of work is well worth it.
Customer Review: I am very happy with the purchase and it’s worth the money when it’s well under a thousand. I wanted something bigger and higher res for playing games on plus general internet and streaming. This does that great. The color isn’t as accurate as on my previous LG IPS monitor, but sitting side by side I can get it fairly close. Plenty good for gaming and movies. I use the included display port cable and have not seen any flickering on an AMD gpu and Linux. You will need a beefy video card to push this many pixels in games.Picture is not great out of the box. I use Custom: Brightness 40, Contrast 32, Sharpness 15, Color 30, Tint R2, Local Dim high, Contrast Enhance off, Color Tone warm 1, White Balance (-1 r, -2 b), Gamma 2, Shadow Detail 0, Color Space native for Picture looks great. FreeSync on, Black Equalizer 0 on the Game tab. I could maybe get it slightly closer by further tweaking the white balance, but it is close enough to the accurate 34UC88 beside it for me to not bother. I’m happy with it.The cons: I do think the 1000r curvature radius is too steep. I would much rather see it with the 1900r radius of the LG beside it, but that’s not how they made it. The viewing angle could also be better, but I think that is partly a result of the curve as well. There is some noticeable backlight bleed on a completely black screen when you look for it, but I can’t say I even notice it in a dark game like BG3.Considering it can usually be found under 1000, I think it’s worth it. The further under the better. For over it, I think I would try to find something with oled or a flatter curve.
Complete Buying Guide for Best Size Curved Monitor For Gaming
Essential Factors We Consider
When selecting the best size curved monitor for gaming, we look at several key factors. The size itself is crucial – larger screens (32 inches and up) offer more immersion, while ultrawide options (34 inches and beyond) provide an expansive field of view. The curve radius, typically 1000R or 1500R, impacts how much the screen wraps around you. We also prioritize high refresh rates (144Hz and above) and low response times (1ms or less) for smooth, responsive gameplay. Resolution, color accuracy, and connectivity options like HDMI 2.1 are also vital for a top-tier gaming experience. Ultimately, we aim to find monitors that offer a great balance of these features for various budgets.
Budget Planning
Curved gaming monitors come in a wide range of prices. Smaller, lower-resolution models can be quite affordable, often falling in the $200-$400 range. Mid-range options, typically 27-34 inches with QHD resolution and high refresh rates, usually sit between $400 and $700. Premium, large-format ultrawide displays with advanced features like WUHD resolution or high-end HDR can cost $800 and upwards. Deciding on your budget beforehand will help narrow down your choices significantly. Remember to factor in potential costs for accessories like monitor arms or calibration tools if needed. Consider what features are most important to your gaming style to get the best value for your money.
Final Thoughts
Choosing the right size for your curved gaming monitor is a personal decision that depends on your available desk space, gaming preferences, and budget. Whether you opt for a 32-inch QHD powerhouse or an expansive 34-inch ultrawide, the immersive nature of a curved display can truly elevate your gaming sessions. We’ve highlighted some of the best options available, each offering unique strengths to cater to different gamer needs. Remember to check what monitor size is best for gaming and your specific setup to make the most informed decision.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the best size for a curved gaming monitor?
A: The “best” size depends on your preference and desk space. 32-inch monitors offer a great balance of immersion and manageability, while 34-inch ultrawide monitors provide a significantly wider field of view for more immersive experiences. Larger sizes like 40 inches are available for ultimate immersion but require ample space.
Q: Is a curved monitor better for gaming?
A: For many gamers, yes. The curve wraps around your field of vision, reducing peripheral distractions and making the on-screen action feel more engaging. It can also help reduce eye strain during long gaming sessions. However, some users prefer flat monitors, especially for productivity tasks where straight lines are important.
Q: What refresh rate should I look for in a curved gaming monitor?
A: For a smooth gaming experience, aim for at least 144Hz. Higher refresh rates like 165Hz, 180Hz, or even 240Hz offer even greater fluidity, especially in fast-paced games. A 1ms response time is also crucial to minimize motion blur.
Q: Are ultrawide curved monitors good for gaming?
A: Absolutely. Ultrawide curved monitors (like 34-inch models) offer an incredibly immersive experience due to their wider aspect ratio, which can enhance peripheral vision in games that support it. They also provide more screen real estate for multitasking.
Q: Do curved monitors have better color accuracy?
A: Color accuracy is more dependent on the panel technology (like IPS, VA, or OLED) and calibration than the curve itself. However, the immersive nature of a curved display can sometimes make colors appear more vibrant and engaging.
Finding the ideal curved gaming monitor size is all about balancing immersion, performance, and your personal setup. Whether you’re aiming for the deepest immersion with a large ultrawide display or a more manageable yet still engaging 32-inch screen, there’s a curved monitor out there to elevate your gaming experience. Explore these options, consider your needs, and get ready to dive into your favorite virtual worlds like never before!
