Customer Reviews

Customer Review: This monitor is a great value for the price. I mainly use it for work (SAP-heavy tasks) and general web browsing with my Mac mini, and it performs well. It comes with both a USB-C and HDMI cable, which is super convenient for switching between my Mac and ThinkPad. The remote aids in the switching between PC and smart monitor use (picture quality is ok but I didnt expect a lot of a monitor since it isn’t a tv) Assembly was easy, and the display quality is nice—though I did tweak the contrast and color settings to my liking. The built-in sound is decent, and while I’m not picky about audio, it’s more than fine for everyday use. My only gripe is with the smart TV feature—when using apps like Peacock, the resolution doesn’t fill the screen, leaving black bars on the sides (included a photo). Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting.Overall, I’m glad I kept it. It’s proven that you don’t have to drop $1,300 on an iMac—pairing a Mac Mini with this monitor cost me under $1,000 and works just as well. If LG tossed in a second USB-C cable and fixed the resolution issue, they’d have a customer for life.

Customer Review: I bought this monitor to get more viewing space and the curved screen. But, it took me sometime to figure out how to get it to work properly because I am using a docking station that only support USB-C upstream at 5Gbps/100W and 2K HDMI, 4K HDMI.This monitor has 5M pixel (3440×1440) that is equivalent to 2.5K. If your docking station only supports 2K HDMI, the image will be blurry. Once, I switch to 4K HDMI port on the docking station, the blurry image is gone. Please make sure the HDMI cable is also 4K, too. The one come with the monitor is good. After that, the image is perfect but it flicks (screen black out 2s, come back, and disappear agin) every few seconds, especially when I use Web browser. This basically make it useless. I google the problem, updated my graphic card driver, and it is still the same. I suspected upstream speed of my docking station is too slow. I search internet and it shows 5Gbps is enough for 2.5K. When I connect with my laptop Thunderbold 4 port (40 Gbps), the flicking is gone. It only happens when I connect with my laptop’s USB-C 3.2/DisplayPort/PD (10 Gbps/100W) combo port. At this point, I am pretty sure it is caused by the docking station 5Gbps upstream speed. Therefore, I bought another docking station that support USB-C upstream 10Gbps/100W with 2x HDMI 4K. All problems are gone when it connects with the new docking station. By the way, the USB-C cable come with the monitor only support 5Gbps/100W so that I have to use my own USB-C cable. To sum up, it needs USB-C 3.2 DisplayPort/PD combo port (10 Gbps/100W) connection including the USB-C cable and a 4K HDMI port and cable. Overall, this is a good monitor.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I’ve been using this 34-inch curved ultrawide monitor for nearly two years for work. For the price, it offers solid value and is easy to recommend.Setup is straightforward, and the instructions are clear. The ultrawide curved display is great for productivity and multitasking, and the monitor feels solid, though it is a bit heavy. However, in terms of sharpness, I didn’t find it on par with some other monitors I’ve used in the past or even my laptop display. Additionally, the stand is not height-adjustable, which would have been a nice improvement.Despite these limitations, it’s still a good ultrawide monitor for the price and works well for everyday work use.

Customer Review: What an amazing monitor for the price… I bought the monitor for about 200$. For the price, it’s amazing. The screen quality is absolutely stunning. Amazing contrast, sharpness, it’s all there. NO screen tears, no stutters. The image this monitor produces is absolutely gorgeous. NO dead pixels too!!!In my opinion this is an amazing monitor. If you are a gamer, this is for you. Be mindful the screen is VERY wide. I have been faithful to sceptre for about 10 years now, and will continue to purchase sceptre after this.Amazing buy. Customer Reviews

Customer Review: Viewsonic has been my goto brand of monitor for close 3 decades now and they have never let me down, this monitor is no different. This product is responsive for gaming with fantastic color representation and ease of adjustability. The price to value of this monitor is unbeatable. Fantastic functionality and unbeatable quality.

Customer Review: I needed a monitor that was viewable from a few feet away. It’s got a great picture and the curved screen is a nice touch. It’s got slots for 3 monitors – 2 HDMI and 1 display port. No HDMI cables but it comes with a DP cable. I have another computer hooked to this monitor so I can switch between them. No instruction manual included and the setup instructions are terrible. I had to download the user manual to figure out how to power it up and use the control panel. My only complaint is with the stand: 1) It slides into a slot on the back and you have to force it to snap into place. Otherwise it’s very wobbly 2) the stand tilts vertically which is nice but it cannot be adjusted up or down. It sits too high for my needs so I’ll need to install a wall mount at the right height. Another minor complaint is that the input slots are mounted vertically which helps to save space behind the monitor but makes it more difficult to plug in the cables.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: This monitor is great! I’ve had it for quite a while now and have not experienced any issues with it whatsoever. The colors are perfect and this thing easily competes with my odyssey g55t which cost about double the price for one of these. If you are hesitant on snagging one of these don’t be, it’s a great pc monitor at an absolutely great price.

Customer Review: As a girl who is just getting back into gaming after quite a few years of not owning a PC and not wanting to break the bank when creating a whole new set up, this monitor is nearly perfect.I wanted something aesthetically pleasing and minimalistic, and this monitor fully delivers on that. It’s lightweight, bigger than expected, I love the slight curve to the screen and visually everything is crisp and clean. It’s keeping up with my mini PC and games that I’m playing. I am someone who is really affected by blue light and the anti-blue light feature is amazing. The only things that are cons for me are: that the screen does not tilt or have any movement to it whatsoever. I also am not entirely sure, but based on reviews that I read I thought that this monitor came with built-in speakers, and there are slits on the bottom of the monitor that look like they could be speakers, but I could not get the sound to work so I had to set up external speakers plugged into my pc. You could totally sync Bluetooth headphones to it, but when I’m gaming for a long periods of time, I like to use external sound rather than headphones.Overall, this is a great monitor, especially if you’re a looking to be a cozy gamer. It’s great quality for the price and won’t break the bank.

Complete Buying Guide for Best Curved Ultrawide Monitor For Office Work

Essential Factors We Consider

When selecting the best curved ultrawide monitor for office work, we look at several key factors. Screen size and resolution are paramount; a larger screen with a higher resolution (like QHD or UWQHD) provides more workspace. The curvature (e.g., 1500R or 1800R) is crucial for comfort and immersion, reducing eye strain by bringing the edges of the screen closer to your peripheral vision. Panel type (IPS for color accuracy, VA for contrast) and refresh rate (60Hz or higher for office work) also play significant roles in overall user experience. Connectivity options, such as USB-C for single-cable solutions, are also important for a clean and efficient setup. For those who need to manage their desk space effectively, consider monitors compatible with monitor stands or monitor shelves.

Budget Planning

Curved ultrawide monitors can range significantly in price. Entry-level models might offer basic resolutions and refresh rates, while premium options boast advanced features like high refresh rates, superior color accuracy, and advanced connectivity. For office work, you can find excellent ultrawide monitors for office work in the mid-range, providing a good balance of features and affordability. Consider what your absolute must-haves are versus nice-to-haves to set a realistic budget. Investing in a good monitor stand or riser can also be part of your budget planning, ensuring ergonomic comfort.

Final Thoughts

Choosing the right curved ultrawide monitor for office work is an investment in your productivity and well-being. The expanded screen real estate and immersive design can genuinely transform how you work, allowing for more efficient multitasking and a more comfortable viewing experience. Whether you’re crunching numbers in spreadsheets, coding, or managing multiple communication channels, an ultrawide curved monitor can provide the edge you need. Remember to consider factors like resolution, refresh rate, and ergonomic adjustments to find the perfect fit for your workspace.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are curved ultrawide monitors good for office work?

A: Yes, curved ultrawide monitors are excellent for office work. They offer a wider field of view, allowing for more efficient multitasking by displaying multiple windows side-by-side without overlap. The curve also helps reduce eye strain by keeping the entire screen within your natural field of vision.

Q: What is the best resolution for an ultrawide monitor for office use?

A: For office work, resolutions like QHD (2560×1440) or UWQHD (3440×1440) are ideal for ultrawide monitors. These resolutions provide sharp details and ample screen space for productivity tasks.

Q: Do I need a powerful graphics card for an ultrawide monitor?

A: For general office tasks, a standard graphics card is usually sufficient. However, if you plan to use the monitor for gaming or demanding graphical applications, a more powerful GPU will be beneficial to take full advantage of higher resolutions and refresh rates.

Q: What’s the difference between 1500R and 1800R curvature?

A: The ‘R’ in 1500R and 1800R refers to the radius of the curve in millimeters. A 1500R curve is tighter (more curved) than an 1800R curve, meaning it wraps around you more. The best choice depends on personal preference and the size of the monitor; tighter curves are often preferred on larger displays.

Q: Can I use a curved ultrawide monitor with a laptop?

A: Absolutely. Most curved ultrawide monitors can be connected to laptops via HDMI, DisplayPort, or USB-C. USB-C connectivity is particularly convenient as it can often carry video, data, and power over a single cable, simplifying your setup.
