Customer Review:

OLED is king! I had an iMac for a couple days and enjoyed it but the screen hurt my eyes! I couldn’t take the eye strain going to bed. The screen just didn’t look natural to me. The blacks were this bright gray. I knew I needed OLED because I have an OLED TV and that never hurts my eyes. Got this monitor and I don’t have eye strain anymore. OLED mimics reality. Where there is no light, there is no light. It’s just comfortable. Great display. The colors are nice. It’s just like one of those things where I don’t even notice it. There just isn’t anything wrong with it. It just does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Apart from moments of gratitude and “this is awesome” it’s just a silent companion. It does what it’s supposed to do I hardly notice it’s there, like a car engine running in the background. A good machine! Works well with my Mac Mini. Thought 32 would be too big, only got it because there are no 27 inch glossy OLEDs. But it ended up being the perfect size. Glossy is perfect for me I can’t stand any compromise to clarity, anti glare is not my thing. Fantastic monitor. Expensive but it is what it is. I wish I could have gotten it for 500 but that’s just not the state of the world. Infinitely better than my iMac monitor and all in all, this monitor, M4 Mac Mini, Edifier M60, Keychron keyboard… For roughly the same price as a 10 core iMac, I am in a completely different universe of comfort, ease, and performance. Put the extra work in. Get what you really need. No compromises. No living with pain.

Customer Review:

Went from an LG Ultragear 32″ 1440p IPS to this. OH MY GOD! It’s crazy the difference the higher resolution and pixel response make. Blacks are black! Colors are amazing even compared to the IPS. I see people say the other type of OLED is better for colors, its just hard to imagine that at all. Super clean image, text is perfect, hdr is amazing and it feels super well built. If you are on the fence and wondering if OLED is really a game changer, it absolutely is! So much so, after seeing it, my wife wanted a OLED TV from LG, the B5. It’s an amazing TV, as has been my experience with all LG displays i’ve owned. I’m hard pressed to ever go with another company for my TV’s and displays at this point, just amazing quality and value. Absolutely no regrets, and it feels super sturdy. The dual mode is a cool feature, can go to 1080p at 24, 27 or full 32″ with higher refresh for the games your gpu can’t quite hit high frames and you wanna be competitive. Running on a 4070ti and 4k using dlss so far has been pretty smooth, minus a few games with huge vram requirements.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review:

Obviously this is a beast, 32-inch, 4k @ 240hz with an option for 1080p @ 480hz, all at 0.03ms response time is elite for any type of gaming. But the thing that’s different about this one in comparison to other similarly-spec’d monitors is that it is a WOLED panel with a matte finish. I urge you to look up the differences between WOLED and QD-OLED panels and matte vs glossy finish before buying, but in my opinion I absolutely LOVE this combination, this WOLED has none of the purplish tone that many QD ones have and in my opinion it still gets plenty bright and the color accuracy is great, also text seems to render clearer on WOLED which is a big plus for people who also look for that “everything monitor” (games, media and productivity), also the matte finish helps it look much more consistent and easier on the eyes across different lighting – albeit with a bit of a “grainy” look which is a bit visible in white spots (for me it has not been a problem, and it is completely undetectable during gaming). I’ll also note that for me a big selling point of this edition over its predecessor is that it can charge a laptop connected through usb-c (and it seems like this option still supports full 4k 240hz on my Macbook m4 pro, which is insane). Full price is a bit too high, but it seems to be on sale regularly (mine was 870 instead of 1300), so try to get it on sale.

Customer Review:

Overall, this display is absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend that anyone considering it understand the differences between QD-OLED (Samsung panels; most OLED monitors) and W-OLED (LG) panels. It is also worth learning about the differences between matte and glossy coatings and how they affect the image. The build quality is great; the stand goes together very easily and is extremely solid. It also offers a wide range of height and tilt adjustment. The light on the rear of the housing is a nice touch and has a good selection of colors. Since this is a W-OLED display, the blacks remain perfectly dark even in a bright room. Colors are as good as you’d expect. When the unit first powers on, expect to see some mild to moderate unevenness in the brightness of the image. My unit had some vertical banding which disappeared after a few hours of normal use and an image cleaning cycle. Do not worry if you see something similar on yours! It goes away quickly. Also, there is no discernible text fringing at all. Text does appear somewhat soft, but disabling ClearType in Windows completely fixes this. The image is plenty bright, and HDR content looks great. You can adjust the peak brightness in the settings, so if it seems dim then try that. It is definitely not as bright as a QD-OLED panel, but the perfect blacks make up for this. Keep in mind that bright elements that take up large parts of the screen will cause global dimming. This is normal behavior. The only complaint I have is that the matte coating is somewhat grainy. It is barely discernible at normal viewing distances, and with dynamic content it’s even harder to spot; it is most noticeable on static bright pages. Use dark mode whenever you can (which is also good practice for OLED panels generally). For me, the lack of distracting reflections is well worth it. Consider your options carefully when picking an OLED display. There are trade-offs no matter what you choose. If you’re looking for a 4K display with a fantastic refresh rate (and 480hz at 1080p!), and you know that the downsides won’t be an issue for you, then this is one of your best options.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review:

Works extremely well. The image quality is top notch, color quality is amazing! Had no issues with connectivity, everything is works great, easy to setup. The price might be a bit high, but when it comes to it, it might be worth it. Hopefully it has a long life. So far the durability seems great. I used to have a 1440p OLED which didn’t do as well as this one, had some issues. But so far, there haven’t been any issues with this one.

Customer Review:

I LOVE this monitor! It is a huge upgrade from my 1440p oled that I had for 2 years. I will say it’s definitely on the expensive side but if you have the budget for it & on the fence, go for it!! The colors really pop & the 240 refresh rate at 4k is amazing! One thing I will say is the upkeep of the monitor is very important. Due to the glossy coat, it is easy to notice the littlest of spots when the monitor is off so it’s important to research how to clean it before buying. I am not knocking a star off for it because with proper care, this isn’t a problem, just takes time & effort.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review:

I’ve been purchasing MSI monitors for awhile now, going from a curved high refresh LED to a QLED and now to this QD-OLED. The quality has always been great and I haven’t been let down yet by MSI. This is the largest jump in monitor image quality I have experienced yet. This monitor looks absolutely gorgeous straight out of the box. The colors are sharp, 4k is amazing, and the refresh/response time are perfection. Finally, the price is just right for this device. The value is there as you get a large 32in 3rd generation QD-OLED monitor with extra features like the KVM that other similarly priced or more expensive ones lack. Definitely recommend!

Customer Review:

The MSI MPG 321URX QD-OLED is an absolute stunner. The 32” 4K panel delivers infinite contrast, perfect blacks, and colors so vibrant they make everything else look washed out. Games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Forza Horizon 5 look next-gen on this thing — razor-sharp details, lightning-fast 0.03ms response, and silky 240Hz smoothness with zero ghosting. HDR pops beautifully (True Black 400), text is crisp for work, and the anti-burn-in features plus MSI’s 3-year warranty give total peace of mind. Setup was plug-and-play, the stand is rock-solid, and the slim bezels look premium on my desk. If you want the best mix of gaming performance and productivity in a 32” 4K OLED right now, stop looking — this is it. Worth every penny!

Customer Reviews

Customer Review:

Every now and then I like to treat myself. I’m not a big spender but I do know what I like. I’ve been an OLED display fan for as long as I remember and my first OLED was a tablet, another Samsung product. To my eye, I’ve yet to see another display type that offers the same levels of color fidelity, black levels and sharpness. I’m not a gamer so things like super-fast refresh rates are somewhat moot to me but I do work on a computer a lot and consume a lot of media in the form of movies and TV. My main display is an LG OLED but in my bedroom system (which also includes 5.1 audio) I was suffering with a 27” LCD TV doubling as a monitor. That was OK for office work and browsing but its gray like black levels were a distraction when watching content with the lights off. The prices of OLED monitors were putting me off but when this model dropped under four hundred bucks I decided to go for it. I’m glad I did. I’m unfortunately not able to go with a larger size in the space I have available, otherwise I would probably have gone for a dual purpose 42″ or 48″ TV/OLED monitor a while back. This 27′ size is, however perfect for my current needs. It is an entry level model. The body is plastic, it has limited inputs: one HDMI and one Display Port. It does have a USB-A socket but that’s for service only; it won’t accept media files for display. The resolution is 1440p. I was a bit concerned at the lack of 4K but that proved not to be a problem. There are no speakers but you can pass-through audio via a 3.5 mm socket for headphones or computer speaker hookup. I didn’t use the included stand, instead choosing to mount the screen on a cantilever arm for ease and flexibility. When I first turned on the TV, connected to my computer over Display Port, the colors seemed overbright (this is common) and the color balance was way off. This was quickly cured by entering the “original” mode and matching the visuals with my LG laptop which this works in tandem with when I’m computing. For AV consumption, I’m feeding the HDMI input with sources from a Roku Express 4K streamer and an Oppo BDP-93 Blu-ray player. At first I thought the visuals were a bit “meh!” but then I realized that my surround receiver, which these devices were routed via, topped out at 1080p resolution. When I connected the monitor directly to the Roku via HDMI, the Roku was fooled into thinking the Samsung was a 4K device and the monitor down-rezzed the signal to 1440p without issue. I have to say, the difference between 1080p upscaled and 4K downscaled was like night and day. Fed with a decent 4K HDR signal, I was hard pressed to tell any difference in quality between what I was seeing on this monitor and the picture on my much larger 4K LG OLED TV in the living room. The picture was superb. Of course that meant I had to ditch my older Marantz receiver and replace it with a more recent version with 4K capability in order to get the best out of the screen. The newer Marantz is also able to upscale my Blu-Ray discs from the OPPO and they look great on this device. Now I couldn’t be happier. I can watch movies and TV in bed in the highest quality imaginable. Everything is super-sharp. Colors are still maybe a little overblown (especially in the blue thru’ teal area) but it’s not a dealbreaker. Skin tones, light reflection, space scenes; everything looks mind blowing. The menu system is quite intuitive once you get used to it and I’m now capable of navigating around quite freely. That said, I have downloaded Samsung Display Manager to my computer to perform the most common tasks like input switching without using the main power/menu input button. I’ve heard this can be quite fragile and break easily and is often refused warranty coverage. Frankly, I’ll do anything to keep this going as long as possible. It’s perfect for my needs. Whether browsing web pages, typing documents, watching YouTube videos or consuming content from other devices, everything looks stunning on this. HDR works great despite a relatively low 200 nits average peak brightness level and black levels and shadow detail in the darkest areas are sublime. This might not be the absolute best choice in OLED monitors (especially for avid gamers) but for most people, I don’t think they’d be missing the kind of specs that can cost hundreds of dollars more. This is a fine product at a very tempting price.

Customer Review:

I have two Samsung Monitors now. This monitor (pictured on the left), and Samsung SAMSUNG 27″ Odyssey G65B QHD 240Hz 1ms (GTG) HDR 600 Gaming Hub 1000R Curved Gaming Monitor (pictured on the right), which is an LED monitor. Pros: – Streaming movies on 4k and PC games look amazing compared to my Samsung LED monitor – True blacks make the color pop – Great prices without sacrificing display quality. However, this is strictly a monitor and does not include Samsung Hub, which has live TV and movie streaming apps. This is still a plus for me since I don’t use Samsung Hub on my monitors. – High refresh rate makes gameplay smooth – AMD FreeSync works flawlessly using an AMD Radeon 9700XT Cons: – The included base isn’t height-adjustable or tilt-adjustable – Not great for online FPS games such as Battlefield 6. OLED gets too dark, making it difficult to spot enemies hiding in dark spots. My Samsung LED monitor makes it easy to spot enemies in the Dark because LED monitors have “Bloom,” which does not make dark areas darker, unlike this monitor. Overall, a great monitor with excellent picture quality for watching movies and playing games. However, it might put you at a disadvantage if you are playing online FPS games where every second counts.

Complete Buying Guide for Best Budget Oled 4K Monitor

Essential Factors We Consider

When looking for the best budget OLED 4K monitor, we focus on a few key areas. First and foremost is the display technology itself – ensuring it’s genuine OLED or QD-OLED for those incredible contrast ratios and perfect blacks. We then look at resolution (4K is our target here) and refresh rate, aiming for at least 120Hz for a smooth experience, with 144Hz or higher being preferable for gaming. Response time is crucial for OLED, so we prioritize models with 0.03ms or 0.1ms. Color accuracy, HDR support (like VESA DisplayHDR True Black), and connectivity options (including USB-C) are also vital. Finally, we assess build quality, ergonomics, and any unique features like KVM switches or built-in speakers.

Budget Planning

Setting a budget is key when hunting for a budget OLED 4K monitor. While “budget” is relative in the OLED space, we’re generally looking at options that fall below the premium tier, often in the $600-$1000 range during sales. Keep an eye out for deals around major holidays or Prime Day. Remember that a higher initial investment in an OLED monitor can pay off in terms of longevity and visual quality compared to multiple lower-end displays over time. If your budget is tighter, consider a high-quality 4K IPS or VA monitor, or look into QHD OLEDs like the Samsung G50SF as a compromise, offering OLED benefits at a lower cost. Remember to factor in potential costs for calibration tools if color accuracy is paramount for your work. For more information on budget-friendly options, check out our guide to the best budget 4K gaming monitors.

Final Thoughts

Finding a budget OLED 4K monitor involves balancing cutting-edge technology with affordability. While true budget 4K OLEDs are still emerging, the options listed above represent the best value currently available, offering a significant step up in visual performance. These monitors prove that you don’t always need to spend a fortune to experience the magic of OLED. Always compare prices and features, and consider your primary use case – whether it’s gaming, content creation, or general multimedia consumption – to make the most informed decision.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is QD-OLED and how is it different from WOLED?

A: QD-OLED (Quantum Dot OLED) combines the perfect blacks of OLED with Quantum Dots for enhanced brightness and color purity. WOLED (White OLED) uses a white sub-pixel and color filters; while excellent, QD-OLED generally offers brighter highlights and more vibrant colors.

Q: Are OLED monitors good for text readability?

A: Newer OLED monitors, especially those with QD-OLED technology and improved pixel structures, offer excellent text clarity. Some users might notice minor fringing on very small text with certain color contrasts, but for most productivity tasks, they perform very well. Turning off anti-aliasing or using specific OS settings can further improve text sharpness.

Q: What is the risk of burn-in on an OLED monitor?

A: While burn-in was a concern with early OLEDs, modern monitors have advanced protective technologies like pixel shifting, logo dimming, and screen savers. With normal mixed usage (avoiding static images like taskbars or unchanging logos displayed for extended periods), the risk of burn-in on a budget OLED 4K monitor is significantly minimized.

Q: Are OLED monitors worth the extra cost over traditional LCDs for gaming?

A: For gaming, the benefits of OLED are substantial: near-instantaneous response times eliminate motion blur, perfect blacks provide incredible contrast for atmospheric games, and vibrant colors make game worlds pop. If these aspects are important to you, the visual upgrade is absolutely worth the investment, especially with the more budget-friendly options now available.

Q: Can I use an OLED monitor for photo editing or graphic design?

A: Yes, many OLED monitors offer excellent color accuracy and wide color gamuts (like DCI-P3), making them suitable for professional creative work. However, for critical color-sensitive work, always ensure the monitor is properly calibrated and consider using features like a monitor hood to minimize ambient light interference. For more specialized needs, you might explore our guide on the best 4K monitors for photo editing.
