Customer Reviews

Customer Review: Good value, overall pretty good monitor. Only complaint is that it doesn’t have a sleep mode. There is sleep mode in the menu, but it turns off the monitor completely when Windows screensaver comes on. Every other monitor I’ve used will wake up automatically, this one you have to press the power button every time. Other than that annoyance, I am happy with the monitor.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: A very nice monitor, it was easy to set up and works great. I have 2 monitors, the other one is 1920 x 1080. In order to get the desktop icons to remain where I put them, in the display settings, I had to put the older monitor to the left of this one. The image quality is very good. I’m not sure whether the curve is necessary, though. But if you are interested in this sort of monitor, I think you will enjoy it.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: Today I set up my dual KOORUI 27″ model N07 monitors. I was somewhat worried by multiple reviewers reporting that this model isn’t really a 4K screen. So while I don’t usually write reviews, I’m here to assure you the N07 is in fact a 4K screen with resolution of 3840×2160 and refresh rate of 60hz. And I know why some people got this wrong. When I unplugged my old 1920×1080 monitors and tried to use the same HDMI cables, Windows identified the monitor as having a 1920×1080 native resolution. But my cables were very old. I plugged both my new monitors in using DisplayPort cables and they were instantly reporting 3840×2160. My monitors did not come with DP cables, just new HDMI cables. But my office had extra DP cables laying around. If you’re still having trouble getting 4K on one of these, be wary of adapters, such as DP-to-HDMI, DVI-to-HDMI, etc. Also try shorter or newer cables. You CAN get 4K out of HDMI cables, but remember that HDMI has been around since 2002 and that standard has gone through many versions with new capabilities over the years. As for reviewing the other aspect of these monitors… they look great to me! Neither of mine had dead or stuck pixels. the colors look good and image is sharp. I’m not a professional monitor reviewer, but these seem like perfectly good office monitors for a fantastic price compared to big brand names. I took a chance on some of their smaller screens several months back and was blown away at the quality and low price. I’m glad this higher end model hasn’t let me down! UPDATE: My original review was written 10/13/2023 and now it’s 5/16/2025. I have never had a single issue with these monitors in the 1 year 7 months I’ve been using them. In fact I stumbled across my own review after looking to purchase a 3rd matching one… because a triple-monitor setup with these bad boys would be awesome! By the way, I use them on a dual-monitor desk mount. I love that they have VESA mounting holes so they can be used on wall or desk arms/mounts.

– Tech Savvy User

Customer Review: I ordered a monitor from Sceptre and received the wrong model. This led me to make a somewhat angry purchase but man did it pay off. Jumping the gun on a 1440p IPS display was so worth it. I am pleased, satisfied, and left wanting nothing more. Pros and cons below. PROS:- Really bright display. This is such a game changer when you constantly deal with dim gaming displays. Typically on a budget monitor you get 250cd/m2 but here you get 400cd/m2!!! The brightness is perfect for gaming, day to day use, brightly lit rooms, etc.- Super Colorful Display: The colors on this screen pop like I’ve never seen. Everything is perfectly saturated. Nothing seems out of the ordinary. Everything you watch, read, play, will be enjoyed thoroughly guaranteed.- Whites are actually WHITE: As you can see in one of the images I attached, My other monitor (HP 25x) provides yellowish whites while the 27E3Q provides a very natural and expected white.- Not a single dead pixel on my unit!- No annoying branding. One simple and almost invisible “KOORUI” in the center of the frame on the bottom. No extended pieces of plastic either. Just a rectangular unit as you would expect. Unlike the HP 25x which has an annoying chunk of plastic that extends out. This is more nitpicky obviously but it still counts!- OSD (On Screen Display) is very easy to use. Its quick, to the point, no frills or gimmicks, and easy to read.- Really nice stand! Although I used my own dual monitor mount, the stand is high quality, heavy duty, with tons of adjustability. (Rotate, side to side, height) CONS:- From the research I’ve done, if you leave the overdrive off you won’t have a problem but, with it turned on you do experience some ghosting I believe. Haven’t tested it myself but this is what I’ve heard. Not worried about it, I leave it off and thoroughly enjoy gaming.- In all honesty, the only possible thing I can think of (and this is a real nitpick imo) is the edges of the display border. They could be a HAIR thinner. My HP 25x has a slightly thinner border (not the bezel/plastic frame). This monitor would have benefited greatly from a thinner border but I wouldn’t worry about it. With all of the benefits (AFFORDABILITY) a border shouldn’t even be close to a deal breaker.Overall, amazing monitor. I will be purchasing another one soon!

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: This is a great monitor. I bought two of these for my son set up in his bedroom for his gaming computer. The quality is amazing, the refresh rate is so fast, and it is such an attractive set of monitors. His grandmother is actually gonna get him one more so that he can have a spaceship kind of experience when playing games. Highly recommend! And the price is awesome. Especially with a 280 Hz refresh rate. It is compatible with his IBM computer, no problem hooking them up. Super easy to set up, and I like that they are high adjustable. I don’t know about the sound quality because he uses external speakers.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I recently upgraded to the MSI MPG 321CURX QD-OLED, and it has completely transformed my gaming experience. If you’re on the fence about jumping to 4K OLED, let me tell you—this is the one to get. What I Love: Visual Immersion: The QD-OLED panel is stunning. The blacks are perfectly deep, and the colors pop in a way that my old monitors never could. Playing in native 4K resolution is breathtaking; the level of detail is a massive step up. Performance: The responsiveness is incredible. I’ve found that turning off VSync and Near Depth of Field in-game settings really lets this monitor shine. The motion is buttery smooth, and there is zero noticeable input lag. Setup & Compatibility: I’m using this with a VIVO mount, and it fits perfectly. It’s a great way to keep the desk clean while supporting such a premium piece of tech. Premium Features: MSI has been great with firmware support (definitely make sure you update to the latest Scaler/MCU firmware). It’s clear they are actively refining the performance of this panel. Final Thoughts: This isn’t just a monitor; it’s a centerpiece. Whether I’m immersed in a atmospheric horror game or a fast-paced shooter, the clarity and contrast are unmatched. It’s a premium investment, but for the quality of the image and the smoothness of the gameplay, it is worth every penny. Highly recommended for anyone looking to build a top-tier battle station!

– Ultimate Gamer Setup

Customer Review: I’ve used plenty of monitors, but the MSI MPG 491CQP QD-OLED is on another level. If you are looking for that “wow” factor, this is it. The Good: Colors & Contrast: The QD-OLED panel is stunning. Blacks are perfectly deep, and the Quantum Dot tech makes colors pop in a way standard OLEDs can’t match. Insane Immersion: The 32:9 super-ultrawide aspect ratio is basically two 1440p monitors side-by-side without the annoying bezels. Racing games and flight sims feel incredible. Performance: The 0.03ms response time makes motion feel liquid smooth. I noticed an immediate difference in how snappy my inputs felt. Quiet & Cool: Unlike some other 49-inch monitors, this one is fanless (it uses a graphene heatsink). It’s silent, which is a huge plus for late-night gaming. Built-in KVM: This is a life-saver. I can switch between my gaming rig and work laptop while using the same keyboard and mouse. Things to Note: Desk Real Estate: This thing is massive. Make sure your desk is deep enough or get a heavy-duty monitor arm. OLED Care: You’ll get occasional prompts for a pixel refresh to prevent burn-in. It’s a minor 5-minute trade-off for having the best picture quality on the market. Final Verdict: This is easily the best value 49-inch OLED right now. MSI’s 3-year burn-in warranty also gives me a lot of peace of mind. If you want the ultimate gaming setup, just get it.

Complete Buying Guide for Best Curved Monitor For Macbook Pro

Essential Factors We Consider

When selecting a curved monitor for your MacBook Pro, we look at several key aspects. First and foremost is display quality: resolution (like QHD or 4K for sharp text), color accuracy (crucial for creative work), and brightness. Then, we consider the refresh rate and response time – higher is better for smooth visuals, especially for gaming or fast-paced video editing. The curvature itself, often measured in ‘R’ values (lower R means more curve), impacts immersion; 1500R or 1000R are common and provide a noticeable wrap-around effect. Connectivity is also vital, with USB-C being a huge plus for MacBooks, allowing for single-cable solutions. Finally, we evaluate build quality, ergonomic adjustments, and overall value for money. If you’re looking for a monitor specifically with USB-C, check out our guide on the best monitor for MacBook Pro USB-C.

Budget Planning

Curved monitors for MacBook Pros can range significantly in price. Entry-level models offer a good curved experience and decent performance for general use, typically falling under $300. Mid-range options, often featuring higher refresh rates, better color accuracy, and larger screen sizes, can be found between $300 and $600. High-end, premium monitors with advanced technologies like QD-OLED, exceptional color calibration, and ultrawide formats can cost $800 and upwards. Consider what features are most important for your workflow – if you’re a professional video editor, investing in color accuracy might be more critical than an ultra-high refresh rate, unlike for a gamer. For those focused on productivity and value, exploring options like those recommended in our best curved monitor for students guide might be beneficial.

Final Thoughts

The best curved monitor for your MacBook Pro ultimately depends on your specific needs and budget. Whether you prioritize immersive gaming with a high refresh rate, vibrant color accuracy for creative tasks, or simply a more comfortable viewing experience for everyday productivity, there’s a curved monitor out there that will fit. Always check for compatibility and consider accessories like a good monitor stand for curved display to optimize your setup.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the ideal resolution for a curved monitor with a MacBook Pro?

A: For a 27-inch curved monitor, QHD (2560×1440) is a great sweet spot, offering sharp text and visuals. For larger or ultrawide displays (34-inch and above), UWQHD (3440×1440) or 4K (3840×2160) provide even more detail and screen real estate, which pairs wonderfully with the MacBook Pro’s capabilities. We also have a guide on the best 96W USB-C monitor for MacBook Pro which often correlates with higher resolutions.

Q: Do curved monitors work well with MacBooks?

A: Yes, absolutely. Curved monitors connect to MacBook Pros just like any other external display, typically via HDMI, DisplayPort, or USB-C (if supported by the monitor). macOS is designed to handle external displays seamlessly, and a curved monitor will provide a more immersive experience, especially for multitasking or media consumption.

Q: How important is color accuracy for a curved monitor used with a MacBook Pro?

A: Color accuracy is very important if you’re a creative professional (e.g., graphic designer, photographer, video editor). Look for monitors that cover a high percentage of sRGB (at least 99%) and ideally offer good coverage of Adobe RGB or DCI-P3. For general use, a good sRGB coverage is usually sufficient. If color accuracy is paramount, consider monitors specifically designed for creative work, like those suitable for Final Cut Pro editors.

Q: Can a single USB-C cable connect my MacBook Pro to a curved monitor?

A: Many modern monitors offer USB-C connectivity that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode and Power Delivery. If a curved monitor has this feature, you can connect your MacBook Pro with a single USB-C cable, which will transmit video, data, and even charge your laptop, simplifying your setup. Check our guide on choosing monitors with USB-C for MacBook Pro for more insights.

Q: Are curved monitors better for productivity than flat monitors?

A: For many users, yes. The curve reduces eye strain by keeping the entire screen within your natural field of vision, meaning less head and eye movement. Ultrawide curved monitors also offer significantly more horizontal space, which is excellent for multitasking, comparing documents, or using complex timelines in video editing software. Some find the immersion beneficial for focus.

Upgrading your MacBook Pro with a curved monitor can truly transform your workspace, offering a more immersive and comfortable experience. Whether you’re a gamer seeking fluid action, a creative professional demanding color precision, or just someone who wants a more engaging setup, the monitors above offer excellent options. Consider your primary use case, desired screen size, and budget to find the perfect curved monitor that complements your MacBook Pro.
