Customer Reviews

Customer Review: Really like this monitor that I got for my kid. I originally thought the curve was going to be a problem but that definitely proved to not be. It’s very responsive and easy to setup. The colors needed a bit of calibration that I got from a review site but after that it looked good. The quality seems really good for the price. Refresh rate is pretty high but my kid doesn’t have an ultra high end machine so it can’t drive it very often to be honest. Over all though it’s a great monitor that is cheap and gets the job done.

Customer Review: This is a great monitor for the price! Nice and big with plenty of screen real estate. Crisp and bright video. I haven’t had any reason to complain. I treated it gently until I got it mounted due to some of the other reviews, but once I got it secured on the arm, I have no worries. Treat her gently and she’s just fine. The only caveat I have for anyone is to be aware, there are no speakers, so an external is necessary.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I had been looking for a new monitor for awhile and had been researching for a new one. I decided I wanted a high quality display, but burn in was a fear I was having for alot of the new OLED monitors since I do a good amount of office work/internet browsing in addition to some gaming. Thats why when I saw this monitor go on sale I jumped onboard. I have been nothing but happy with this purchase as I get the wide screen experience, but still get the height I need for my office work. Much cheaper than the LG and Dell options, yes I know it is a VA panel, but as the monitor sits directly in front of me at my desk I have NO issues with viewing angles or anything like that. A great monitor overall and if you can get it on sale it is a NO BRAINER to purchase. Picture quality is great, screen is bright enough for my office and everything is functioning as I would expect. My 4080 video card truely allows this monitor to shine. Highly recommend for those of you who dont want to risk the burn in of OLED or avoid the high prices of the OLED screens. Obviously those other monitors may have better blacks and brightness, but for the price you won’t be disappointed. I will admit, that like most Samsung monitors/TVs, you do need to do some adjustments to get a more accurate color, but that little bit of work is well worth it.

Customer Review: I am very happy with the purchase and it’s worth the money when it’s well under a thousand. I wanted something bigger and higher res for playing games on plus general internet and streaming. This does that great. The color isn’t as accurate as on my previous LG IPS monitor, but sitting side by side I can get it fairly close. Plenty good for gaming and movies. I use the included display port cable and have not seen any flickering on an AMD gpu and Linux. You will need a beefy video card to push this many pixels in games.Picture is not great out of the box. I use Custom: Brightness 40, Contrast 32, Sharpness 15, Color 30, Tint R2, Local Dim high, Contrast Enhance off, Color Tone warm 1, White Balance (-1 r, -2 b), Gamma 2, Shadow Detail 0, Color Space native for Picture looks great. FreeSync on, Black Equalizer 0 on the Game tab. I could maybe get it slightly closer by further tweaking the white balance, but it is close enough to the accurate 34UC88 beside it for me to not bother. I’m happy with it.The cons: I do think the 1000r curvature radius is too steep. I would much rather see it with the 1900r radius of the LG beside it, but that’s not how they made it. The viewing angle could also be better, but I think that is partly a result of the curve as well. There is some noticeable backlight bleed on a completely black screen when you look for it, but I can’t say I even notice it in a dark game like BG3.Considering it can usually be found under 1000, I think it’s worth it. The further under the better. For over it, I think I would try to find something with oled or a flatter curve.

Customer Review: I have been a gamer all my life and have raised a family of gamers! This monitor was a great size, the picture quality was really nice, the brightness was spot on! My son loves this monitor! He uses this on his PC and xbox and loves the curve to it. I was a little skeptical at first because I’m used to the big brands out there. Give this monitor a chance! You will not be disappointed!

Customer Review: I was skeptical at first, paying low prices for a company I’d never heard of. In a world full of Samsun, Asus, MSI, and LG the only thing that stood out was that it fit my budget.HOWEVERThe second I plugged my HDMI in I was in awe. The colors were vibrant, the pixels were clean, the quality was fantastic, and the refresh rate dare I say is delicious.I played a couple different games just to test it out and it ran everything beautifully. I got the 27” 1440p @180hz and I wouldn’t change a thing. Easy to assemble out the box, 2 HDMI, 1 headphone jack, and 1 DP. The curve is perfect, and I am beyond impressed. I will be buying another this year.I highly recommend this monitor.

Complete Buying Guide for Best Monitor Curved For Gaming

Essential Factors We Consider

When choosing the best monitor curved for gaming, we look at several key factors. First and foremost is the refresh rate – higher is better for smooth motion. We also consider the response time, which minimizes motion blur. The resolution impacts clarity and detail, while the curvature radius (e.g., 1000R, 1500R) dictates the level of immersion. Features like Adaptive-Sync technologies (FreeSync or G-Sync) are crucial for preventing screen tearing. Finally, we think about panel type (IPS for better colors, VA for deeper blacks), brightness, color accuracy, and connectivity options. We also check if it supports technologies like HDR for gaming.

Budget Planning

Curved gaming monitors span a wide price range. Entry-level options offer good refresh rates and basic curves, often around 1080p resolution. Mid-range monitors step up to 1440p resolution, higher refresh rates (144Hz-180Hz), and more pronounced curves. High-end models boast 4K resolution, very high refresh rates, premium panel technology, and aggressive curvatures for ultimate immersion. Deciding on your budget will significantly narrow down your choices, but remember to balance cost with the features that matter most for your gaming experience. For example, if you’re looking for a monitor for gaming and study, you might prioritize resolution and screen size over extreme refresh rates.

Final Thoughts

Finding the right curved gaming monitor involves understanding your personal needs and budget. Whether you’re a competitive player needing ultra-fast response times or an enthusiast seeking maximum immersion, there’s a curved monitor out there for you. We’ve highlighted some of the top contenders, but always consider your specific games, PC capabilities, and desk space. A good monitor can genuinely transform your gaming setup, making every session more enjoyable and visually stunning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the best curvature for a gaming monitor?

A: The most common and often recommended curvatures for gaming monitors are 1500R and 1000R. A 1500R curve is less aggressive and more subtle, while a 1000R curve is tighter, wrapping more around your peripheral vision for increased immersion. Ultimately, the “best” curvature is subjective and depends on personal preference and screen size.

Q: Do curved monitors have better colors?

A: Curvature itself doesn’t directly affect color reproduction. Color quality depends on the panel technology (IPS, VA, OLED), color gamut coverage, and calibration. However, the immersive nature of a curved screen can make colors appear more vibrant and engaging during gameplay.

Q: Is a curved monitor good for competitive gaming?

A: Yes, curved monitors can be excellent for competitive gaming, especially with high refresh rates and low response times. The curve can help you focus on the center of the screen and react faster, while features like Adaptive-Sync prevent distractions from screen tearing. If you’re looking for a competitive edge, check out our guide on best curved monitors for competitive gaming.

Q: What resolution and refresh rate should I aim for in a curved gaming monitor?

A: For a good balance of visual fidelity and performance, 1440p resolution with a 144Hz or 165Hz refresh rate is a popular choice. For high-end gaming, consider 4K resolution with a 144Hz+ refresh rate. If your PC hardware is more modest, a 1080p monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate can still provide a very smooth experience.

Q: Can I use a curved monitor for work and productivity?

The increased screen real estate and reduced eye strain can make multitasking, coding, and content creation more comfortable and efficient.
